  1. once again not a case of 'letting riders go' as they will take up the offer they choose as self employed tradesmen that said i agree that lawson is highly likely to stay at leics due to being settled and the commute
  2. poole are interested in anyone on the right average ie one which can be added to
  3. i think rumour is the key word there these same rumours about harris lawson and cook were around this time last year and none of them ended up at lynn so until they are announced i remain sceptical
  4. absolutely agree with the tight and or narrow ones, its no coincidence that the wider & faster sweeping tracks such as bv worky redcar scunny and glasgow provide the best speedway nowadays
  5. not sure there would be any 'letting' involved if magic ends up at lynn or elsewhere itll be because he has chosen them over oxford for whatever reason same as rowe going to sheff as i suspect lynn would have preferred to keep him
  6. would he fit? cant see him leaving ox but you never know
  7. i think most of those who moan about it would be folk who dont actually go people who do and saw how well we finished the season against some top sides will be pleased
  8. i think it would have every chance IF we can keep a settled team for the whole season or at least the vast majority of it as its absolutely rock solid the mooted side would be very powerful at home competitive away and always have a very strong reserve BUT needs to avoid the unavailability issues which has dogged the club over the last few seasons
  9. away average scores sheff 43.75 leics 43.42 ippo 42.42 bv & ox 40.58 lynn 39.08 brum 39.00 home/away diff: bv 10.75 lynn 8.25 sheff 7.83 leics 6.91 ox 6.71 ippo 5.58 brum 4.58
  10. to be fair my calculations were regular fixtures only so play offs would reduce leics & sheff and increase bv the ippo point is a good one another angle on the home advantage thing is the difference between home and away average scores might look into that when i get 5 mins
  11. back of a fag packet calculations of average home scores by team in 2024 sheff 51.58 bv 51.33 leicester 50.33 ippo 48.00 lynn 47.33 ox 46.75 brum 43.58 doesnt tell the the whole story but a good guide nevertheless
  12. every track has some home advantage id argue BV has the most
  13. not at all those two clubs have the biggest sponsor, simple as that. a sponsor that my club had in 2017 but were unable to keep hold of let's not forget there is certainly no envy from me you will always have the richer and poorer clubs, thats sport but the best riders will go to those clubs, thats just the way it is
  14. and one he lives five minutes from and can practice on almost 24/7 might do him good
  15. i suspect its no coincidence that they are the two heavily sponsored clubs with the most financial clout im happy with boughen though his potential ceiling is higher than any of the others if it can be fulfilled
  16. you carry on being a miserable sod as ever, meanwhile the people who actually go to lynn will carry on enjoying their nights out and be happy about life 👍
  17. rowe has gone elsewhere s lambert would only work with a big scoring number one and we wont be getting one of those. itll be a solid team with a far better rider than simon at 6
  18. you have raced a speedway bike i havent however id argue that making the gate and having fresh air (board scraping or not) is quite different to being in close proximity to others entering bends if youve had a recent crash involving others it could make a rider reluctant to mix it when riders get close to eachother id argue that balls and confidence can be two different things
  19. adam allott averaged ten at lynn and around four away while riding for the stars at lynn he generally made good gates and would beat the leagues top men by quarter of a lap, he was small and light and very quick but away from home and even at lynn when he didn't gate he could lose to the worst number sevens as hed just shut off into every bend very frustrating rider
