The night Kurtz didn’t try apparently, he scored 4 points , away from home , on a cow patch. The same night Ipswich number one Emil , scored exactly the same. Wasn’t he trying too ? Or did he have them ongoing stomach problems he obviously suffers from ???
I’m sure you’ll agree through no fault of his own . Did all he could really . Hopefully he will . We need the best riders here to prop up our dying sport. He’s one a couple of leagues here that will tide him over.
Kurtz had a world title to consider once he’d realised his team were out. Emil had a Polish league final to consider . Maybe that’s why he wasn’t at his best that night too. It would be better for it to be cancelled for you because Doyle will definitely end up on his arse on that cow patch
Can’t see them doing what you’re suggesting after your reactions to Kurtz last week. Surely you wouldn’t condone your own riders doing it yet slaughtering Brady would you ?
Yes they should take a leaf out of Brady’s book. Ipswich fans totally understood why he eased off last week didn’t they.😑 So they’ll surely forgive their riders doing the same . With bigger things ahead to consider.
Totally agree about Doyle . And Parnitskyi should be included as this year’s GP2 winner. Makes total sense to promote the winner of that series every year . That way we’re guaranteed at least 1 new face. And a good one at that. Give youth a chance I reckon.
I’d have Parnitskyi , Cierniak or Kowalski before Doyle . All young up and coming and hungry. Wanting to show they can mix it at the top. As good as Doyle was , he’s had his day and brings no new interest. Also he likes a fall so is likely to miss gp’s too. Nothing wrong with freshening things up to re energise the competition. Just my opinion.
The 3 you mentioned bring nothing new . The 3 I mentioned certainly do but as you know they won’t be in , lets look forward to another exciting gp year. Thank god for Kurtz and Bewley to add the interest the rest sadly lack.
Yes put them all back in . Same old same old. Laguta and sayfutdinov are better than the 3 you’ve quoted. Woffinden brings character and interest. And who knows, may reach top levels again. Maybe not consistently but then your 3 don’t either.
Suppose it says everything about the strength of the top level riders these days when it’s so hard to find 4 credible challengers to make each round more interesting. I agree woffindens best days are behind him but one thing he isn’t is mundane and boring, which is what top level speedway has become with no characters like Ward , Carter , Havelock etc . Hopefully he’ll come back stronger after his lay off this year . We already know the top 3 in 2026 and probably in the same order .
Kurtz did all he could to be number 1 this year. Nobody good enough to help him out by topping Zmarzlik. We need possible challengers. Doyle top class in his day at the top level but those days are now gone and he’ll know it deep down. He may challenge once or twice but over 10 rounds. No chance. Wild cards must be possible challengers or it will be the same predictable results on boring circuits. For what it’s worth I’d go for Laguta, Emil, Madsen and woffinden ( box office )
