  1. Does that mean his benefit meeting is off then? doubt it.
  2. Darcy all the way without a shadow of a doubt. Chris hasn't been the same though since his and Darcy's accident which is understandable, but prior to these incidents I always thought Darcy looked the better. His foresight and control of the bike was unrivaled. Great example being the play off semi final 2nd leg vs kings lynn.
  3. Forget lindback. Ellis Perks was signed as an asset when he started at scunthorpe... could happen.
  4. Not 100% sure but thought we made him an asset for that season we had him... Although being an asset doesn't mean a great deal, a rider will go where he wants. But it certainly helps to have good connections
  5. Somerset could put together a decent side, Kurtz, Master's and graczjonek,Newman all used to ride there. If Brady doesn't come back I expect to see him as a Rebel.
  6. No doubt to be insisted he came in on 8pts for Poole.
  7. Would receive some hammerings with that!
  8. The grading system lumped Poole with the "passed his best before date" Jason Lyon's last time it was implemented, I don't fancy us inheriting another old Ace in Scott Nicholls.
  9. Once again, other teams fans want the rules adjusted to see Poole become weaker. Imagine the uproar if we had the same policies as the Polish league and ran the likes of zmarzlik at reserve!
  10. I'd be surprised if Brady didn't come back. Maybe he was a bit hyped up over the Darcy comparisons, riding his engines and winning the Aussie championship. He isn't going to be another Darcy, but most likely a good rider one day. He's young enough still to be given another chance for sure.
  11. I am somewhat dubious where we will find our next number one if Holder leaves. No Darcy, Magic looks set to stay in Sweden, the Poles want to restrict rider movement... some big changes look to be coming.
  12. That I agree with BW, there's a point where it goes too far & it seems both parties are guilty in this case.
  13. No question that tai has character, just personally I think it stinks! Hancock may be dull, but he's a credit to the sport. I'm all up for crowd/rider interaction and banter, but for me, tai was the idiot, and so were the few idiots behaving like animals in front of kids.
  14. I just feel a sportsman at the top of his game should be a role model, setting an example. Other than the flying clothes line at Nicki , you wouldn't catch Hancock behaving like Tai did.
  15. On the football note, Tai's behavior would be deemed to be inciting the crowd, which no doubt would be a sending off or a heavy fine. We all like a pantomime villain, but swearing at fans and show boating more than necessary lacks class. I would expect more from the out going world champion.
  16. Holder has been great for Poole, his home form was fantastic mostly this season, but his away form at times was a shadow of a number one. I would like to see him back, but if he doesn't return, how likely is it that Jack would want to sign on when there appears to be a rift between Ford and Holder? I would take magic back for sure.. he's possibly a rider like holder who needs regular meetings to stay sharp. Riding set nights doesn't suit everyone. The suggestion of J.holder,Ellis,Newman, kurtz in the same team sounds nice in theory, but would likely be handed some heavy defeats on the road, which is an area that definitely needs to be addressed over the winter after poor away form this season. Hans has spirit, but he isn't the rider he once was and isn't getting any younger, I'm a little dubious about a possible return for him.
  17. I see the angle you are coming from, but the nature of the wolves track being so tight, and what that heat could have meant, it would be nice to see 4 riders because of an untidy start, tai was clipped too. Even if we did 1-5 in 15 , I very much doubt holder would have beat tai in a race off
  18. Nothing wrong that, the ref was controversial. Most of the sky team were shocked about the Ellis/pk decision too!
  19. Well done wolves, writing has been on the wall for Poole way before the play offs to be honest... this isn't a surprise result. I do however think the referee could have utilised the camera footage better when coming to his final decision, alas you can't win them all! I think belle vue will edge a close final, purely because wolves did nearly succumb to a 2.5 man Poole team on aggregate. Good luck!
  20. I'm sure we will still see your posts pop up now and then gavan. Not that we really care as the rose tints are bloody amazing.
  21. I see it as a bonus for everyone that we shall be seeing tai, zagar, holder, lindback etc doing battle. It's about time the league started to attract bigger names, not just Poole.
  22. So lindback signing is fine as he's been away for 9 seasons. Thanks for clearing that one up
  23. Surely Poole would have had a Drs note for Hans stating he is injured, enabling us to use a facility for him. Therefore at this point in time , he is injured. Would you agree that tai is also not a 7pter? An open question for anyone informed, as speedway riders are self employed riding across various countries and competitions, Hans lining up to ride in an individual event is surely different to a team event, so he could declare himself fit as he is not bound to league regulations in an individual ?
  24. Can someone please confirm if a returning rider should be assessed to a 7 or 8 pt average? If 7pts after 9 years absence, it is very much fair game and a shrewd move by Mr Ford. By the haters reasoning, tai should have been reassessed to 9pts+ as he's the returning world champion.
  25. Think the idea is tai has proven you can drop Britain, and still become world champion.
