  1. 40 => Rowe, 38 => 4 pt foreigner. I do see a potential issue which is that having a Dane in the team worked in 2024 because Tobias wasn't perceived as good enough to land a regular DSL spot back in Denmark, but his progress may mean that next season he is wanted back in Denmark on Wednesday's for DSL matches. If no Tobias in 2025, then that would make sense of the Ablitt rumours as an alternative.
  2. Just a reminder that in case 2023 the Lion Cubs started the season with six riders aged 18 or younger. The exception - the ridiculously ancient Tom Spencer.
  3. Can we just take it as read that any rider who was killed in action 'left us too soon' The most complete list is here: https://speedwayinmemoriam.yolasite.com/
  4. In the words of Sir Humphrey it would be a brave choice to pick a 27 year old who hasn't ridden for two years and had done little of note previously.
  5. For this type of calculation the GDP deflator is a more accurate measure. 1977: 14.3 1978 16.2 2023 : 100 That makes @1 valve 's figure pretty much spot on.
  6. I thought he sounded very mature when on the mike at the play-off final second leg.
  7. Just how long have they been waiting. I do hope the Travelplus tour party aren't flying back tonight.
  8. But the PZM identified this as a weakness in the Polish system and they came up with the under 24 league to give additional opportunities to 22 and 23 year olds. The main problem with our system is that it applies to the wrong league.
  9. Rode at Iwade on Sunday. Looked rusty though.
  10. The 5 dropped matches had a lowest score of 7+1 and include a maximum against Belle Vue. 22 rides 38 points ave 6.91
  11. No to both those posts which just means going further down the list.
  12. This year 9 2pt [or near as - I've included Trigger at 2.08] riders were needed. If 2025 is similar, then we have: McGurk, Hodder, Garrad, James already in situ. So with a further 5 needed, the first 5 available based on NDL averages would be [in order]: Scott, Wood Spencer, Perry and Phillips. (although I think Springer, Vale and Marson would be better bets than Phillips)
  13. I've read the rule. All that is required is that the guest doesn't ride for a team that hasn't been eliminated (so doesn't ride for finalists opponents - duh) And hasn't guested for someone else in the semis/final. So Jye Etheridge is ruled out because he rode for Redcar in the semis but King and Gilkes are not.
  14. I don't even think he's ridden Stateside since a hand injury in April.
  15. 2021 Flint 6.04 Edwards 2.22 2024 Flint 6.85 Edwards 6.34 [Championship GSA's] Think the trend line is pretty clear.
  16. ACU Board member Paul Hurry received no sanction last year, so I shouldn't worry too much on that account.
  17. The point is that every time some whiny little team manager feels hard done by they demand new restrictions/relaxations in the guest rules. The result is they become so complex that virtually nobody remembers them all. (cf Sheffield's inadvertant attempt to use Harris illegally). I think @szkocjasid is making an argument for rationlisingb the rules.
  18. Polish clubs are often refused licences. What that says to me is the clubs may not always be professionally run, but the governing body is a lot more robust.
  19. Scott is not in the named 7 so there is no reason to find a guest for him. And while there are alternatives I struggle to see any that are significantly better - please enlighten me.
