  1. Probably Knudsen and possibly Gusts unavailable due to DSL final. - not that unavailability generally stops Oxford management organising a fixture.
  2. Shareholders in Speedway Futures Ltd Along with Paul Mullaly, Vicky Blackwell, Miriam Bentley, Jason Holmes - do these names mean anything to you? [There are other shareholders with whom I am familiar including Neil Clayton, Phil Morris and Nicola Jamieson]
  3. Which begs the question who are David Rodwell, Jamie Dobb et al?
  4. BSN have scoecard https://watch.britishspeedway.co.uk/watch/ee4e2777-e08d-4206-b3c8-7083d5fca756
  5. The West Midlands can support more than one team. However dense urbanisation means a lack of suitable sites. Berwick and King's Lynn have both survived for over 50 years. The problem for Northampton is not population based, it is that there is no history of speedway in Northampton [just 1929-30 in town, and 54/5 & 66/7 @ Brafield - all at a fairly rudimentary level]
  6. Northampton, a mere 5 miles away has a population of 240,000+.
  7. Industry Hills. It is basically a large cattle shed https://www.speedwaybikes.com/tracks/industryhills.htm
  8. I would also say (and I have said this in print) that Belle Vue has the best track shop in Britiah speedway (Glasgow are the only other serious contender)
  9. No it wasn't. I spent a lot of time looking at forecasts and rainfall radar yesterday (as I went to Wight Warriors). The forecasts all predicted light showers starting somewhere between 7 and 9 with possibly heavier rain arriving between 9 and 11. None of that falls into the category of 'very bad'. And throughout the day the rainfall radar suggested those forecasts were accurate. It didn't start raining in Poole until around 9pm and unless you have the worst prepared track in speedway the meeting should easily have been completed before it became unrideable. [And anyway where rain is threatened most meetings are completed by 9pm anyway]
  10. The operative word here is heavy. Poole fans seem to be unable to distinguish between a forecast of light rain and an actual heavy downpour. I assume that most of them are not that stupid (but I might be wrong) , and that they are simply seeking to wind-up Oxford fans.
  11. This 100%. And in this case it would make score 43-44 or 43-45 (depending in whether Crewe could be lapped by a non-existant rider)
  12. Is that the rider who has increased his GSA by over a point this season? Who scored 7 or more in 13 consecutive matches prior to KL away? Who has the 11th= best away average in the league this year?
  13. That plastic disc is clearly not a coin, as specified in the rules. Yet another clear breach of the regulations 🤣
  14. I assume not as it would surely have been dealt with in the same statement.
  15. If done correctly [i.e. logically] then remove Coops points and promote the riders behind and Kent lose 11 points while Birmingham gain nine. I make that Kent 43 Birmingham 44. Of course if ht 14 had been called correctly it would be 44-43 to Kent.
  16. I think they have a points limit now (for many years they used gradings) and reserve is at no 5.
  17. https://watch.britishspeedway.co.uk/watch/643c1967-2f8f-459e-b01c-40c836e81d73
  18. Here's an example Note ht 13 and 14 are nominated (and there is a tac sub in ht eight) https://rs.dmusport.dk/loeb/6923
  19. < 50% => minority But It is certainly not a 'small minority'
  20. Because you asked a question, which is answered by para 7 of the press release "The other play-off semi-final, to be staged in week commencing September 15, will be between Leicester and Sheffield, with the order of legs to be decided by positions in the league table following Thursday’s fixtures."
  21. The team that finishes top of the league will be the one with most points at the end of the season. (Which will probably still be Ipswich)
  22. Well he was correct. Scunny did have a chance of winning the league. Somewhere in the region of 0.000001%
  23. There's a strong hint on facebook that Luke Harrison (the one rider Scorps fans seem unanimous on keeping) is off to Workington next year.
