  1. Ivacic rode regularly in the Polish third tier last season finishing above Steve Worrall and Josh Pickering. My concern is that he really doesn't seem to be racing regularly. He has potential, but I still find the dropping of a promising 17 year old for 36 y.o. Garrad (even if he has done spectacularly well for us at Oxford this year) hard to stomach.
  2. I wasn't frisked and I had an open bottle visible in my pocket which I was allowed to take in.
  3. Lewis Kerr got pretty much the biggest cheer of the night on Monday's parade. Why would one boo an opponent (unless they'd done something particularly dickish.)
  4. And here are the past winners: 2010 Eduard Krcmar 2011 Eduard Krcmar 2012 Michael Hartel 2013 Daniel Spiller 2014 Sandro Wassermann 2015 Matt Gilmore 2016 Matt Gilmore 2017 Jonas Knudsen 2018 Ben Ernst 2019 Jesper Knudsen Hard to see any of them in future grand prixs
  5. And remember: 1] televised match 2] two home fixtures in 4 days (with Emil coming on Thursday) 3] weakened opposition - all things considered an excellent crowd.
  6. Well it made for another great night's speedway (and all credit to the Tigers and their fans) but it underlines how badly the Spires need strengthening. Mind you on past form our next move will be to replace Tungate with Lambert ... Simon Lambert.
  7. And none of those three (or Adam Ellis) got the majority of their youth experience in the British Youth Championships (Germany, late starter, Australia, and French grasstrack respectively)
  8. An action packed ht 7 - Kvech falling and Lindgren v Kubera. And what did we see?
  9. So Kemp replaces Kerr, who replaced Cook, who replaced .. Kemp (@ Leicester)
  10. From official Leicester Speedway: "Congratulations to Lions Rising Star Sam Hagon who won the first event in the new National League Riders' Development Series at Poole tonight!" From BSPL site: "POOLE reserve Sam Hagon took victory in the club’s NDL Individual event at Wimborne Road after a run-off with Jake Mulford" note: "club's NDL individual event" So not the NDLRC then?
  11. Track was very poor tonight. Bends 3 and 4 seemed treacherous and apart from a couple of decent races towards the end it was all decided by bend 3. And then there was the dust.
  12. Jody Scott accepting a guest booking instead of appearing here hardly screams 'important meeting
  13. I went to Grudziadz earlier this season and it was a sell out so I wouldn't buy on the day.
  14. That it clashes with Oxford v Workington If it really was the NDLRC Luke Killeen would be in it and the Cheetahs using a guest. But it isn't and Killeen is riding for Oxford, not in some jumped up open junior meeting.
  15. It was listed (as Caledonian Riders Champ) but has now disappeared, presumably as a result of other rescheduling. I imagine it will reappear later in the season
  16. His British career spanned 14 years and he was over 40 when he retired from riding regularly in top line US meetings.
  17. So you agree that RnR is right to correct you. He was a former Russian national and has since represented the Polish national team in FIM competition.
  18. I think Workington have a pretty good excuse. NONE of their riders are available - because they are all riding for Workington at Oxford.
  19. You clearly haven't read the Poole press release which claims otherwise.
  20. It is crystal ciear: It is the NDLRC per Poole website (must be true?) The BSPL website says it is an NDL series round (in two separate places) - so doubly true. ... or maybe not? I don't know. ... ask me again on 27th June
  21. Edinburgh announced a date for theirs (listed as the Caledonian Riders Champ)
  22. Usually there is some, but for the last SoN it was all coned off with police enforcement notices.
