I don't think Flint will be far off doing that next year. But Wolves 5th rider in the averages was probably the strongest 5th rider in the averages in 2022. Which makes it more difficult. I do think there is more to come from Kemp also, possibly more than Flint. But it's as if he needs Eureka moment.

He never attained an average, as he never rode. His Championship GSA is 4.63 (rolling) or 5.11(whole season) so which one would be converted and what is the conversion rate for a Championship rider joining a Premiership team these days? He is listed on Belle Vue's declared GSA's as 3.00, 25% off that is 2.4 but the minimum average is 2.5! If Bailey is 2.5 then that septet would just fit under a 42.5 limit with the averages I have been using. Fricke instead of Kurtz would also fit.

Be interesting to see what they'd do with his 8.29 average from 2016 which was attained in the second tier.

Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)
Col replied to PhilTheAce's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Believe so. That was the assessed average for Vaculik with Leicester in 2018, he was the last rider in the GP's who signed for a British Club for the first time. -
So Wolves could get a 25% on both Flint & Kemp... And Witches get 25% on both Hume & Rowe? So do the #8's (whether they rode or not) who were also RS's get 25%?

It has been mooted on this forum if not this thread that RS's from 2022 would get 25% discount for the 2023 season. If Bailey is 3.00 and the points limit is 42.5, then no. That septet with the averages I've previously used adds up to 42.66.

Poor lad, didn't realise his injuries were that bad when I posted that.

2019 GSA. Zagar, Klindt, Fricke, Doyle, Musielak, Lambert, NKI, Jacobsen, Tungate ... all returned on averages from that year or older this season. Never been a GP rider, assessed commonwealth 4.00. Sure Belle Vue would take that!

Hancock was the 2nd best rider in the world when Doyle got injured with two GP's to go in 2016. Was born in 1970. So 46? Woffinden won 2018. Doyle 2017. So I'm fairly sure that was his last title.

Qualified for the GP's in 2015, so was 30.

Did Lambert make an appearance?

Jordan Palin returns!

Becker will be 24 by the time the 2023 season leaves the tapes He has enough experience in the UK and on the continent. It's now or never for him to have a statement season. Needs to top the averages for Wolves & Zielona Gora.

Hadn't seen that interview. I take it no announcement(s) from "The Maugers"?

And what would they have done had Harris not crashed out of the semi, which would have seen the Panthers in the final? Adjust the scores with Wolves going ahead of the Witches? Order the whole meeting restaged? Restage the semi & final?

Maybe you're right, only Bewley knows for sure but time will tell. I think he'll be back league racing in GB next year most likely as Belle Vue's #1. Wasn't 2022 Bewley's first year in Elitserien? He certainly didn't ride in Sweden in 2021 as he was with Wroclaw & the Aces.

I fail to see how Fricke differs from Bewley & Lambert in terms of ambition. Fricke rode in UK this year because he was riding second tier in Poland. Bewley & Lambert were restricted from doing so riding in Ekstraliga. All will likely be Ekstraliga riders next year but with the restrictions lifted can ride in the UK. Personally I can't see Lambert returning to British league, but Bewley I can. Lambert has seemed at odds with his parent club (Kings Lynn) for some time whereas Bewley seems still have affinity for the NSS & the Aces. The fact he could be bothered to compete in the British final says allot. Everything seems ominously quiet on the Fricke front - after a poor GP season perhaps he feels he's been too busy this year. It may just because he's been injured that he's been relatively quiet. Zagar seems keen to return.
-
Fricke 8.55, Zagar 7.20 big difference in team building resources.
-
I'm sure most fans would but it is unrealistic! If Bewley can be persuaded to return I'm guessing it is one of Zagar & Kurtz.
