Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)

Dunno. But Brennan, Flint & Mountain the successes of the RS scheme may struggle to get a team spot now they're ineligible for an RS berth.... which doesn't really make the scheme work does it? -
Difficult to choose really. Neither Wright nor Zagar have much scope to improve. While Zagar is the best rider to watch at the NSS his scores on the road have been disappointing this year. Wright is a solid middle order rider home & away. Lidsey is a Ekstraliga rider and will likely make a mockery of his starting average, but needs to be a heat leader. Less would be expected of Berge but he would improve his starting average but not by as much and there would be less pressure on him. I'd go with option 2. With Wright & Lidsey in the team one of Brennan & Blodorn would always be at reserve, it would be asking allot of the two reserves from 2022 to be in the 1-5 for the season in 2023.

Could be critical in terms of league position for who makes the playoffs and which team gets to choose their playoff semi-final opponents. It also keeps meetings interesting, Belle Vue got battered at Owlerton in the league but having battered the Tigers at the NSS the aggregate bonus would have given both teams motivation late into the meeting. I'm glad it's back, just don't want the "super heat" rubbish. There is nowt wrong with a good old fashioned 45-45 draw. Assuming it's: Bewley 8.92 (2021 9.14 less 2.5%) Kurtz 8.24 Blodorn 5.45 Brennan 4.40 (2022 5.86 less 25%) 12.00 for the final two.

A team of Fricke, Harris, Lawson, N Morris & R Worrall don't have much scope for average improvement but I would think they'd be solid enough to finish top 4, they just need to perform in the playoffs then. -
I think both were injured on my visits to PB in 2022, but from seeing both for much of 2019 & 2021, Morris is the more capable Speedway rider, Shanes gating lets him down. Morris could hold his own as a second string, Shanes will never be anything more than a reserve.

There is a rumour that RS's from last year who are no longer on the RS list (not that it has been published AFAIK) get 25% off their average. -
Surprised only 5.8 average. The strong top 2 were announced previously. Kemp was on the list last year. Should remain on it. Mountain, Brennan, Hume & Flint shouldn't. Kemp, I see the potential but it has never come to fruition. Will it? Gilkes was good at Perry Barr in 2021 but only seen him once Why the clamour for Bailey? Never seen him ride AFAIK but only averages 4.8 at Championship level.

But Mountain will be 26 years old next year and has been riding continually since 2014, Brennan is 4 years younger. In my opinion neither should be on the RS list, if Mountain is you could make a case for Dan Bewley being on it as he is two years younger. Riders can't be rising stars permanently.

That six come to 37.17 using stats from http://speedway-stats.co.uk/ as the BSPA site seems to be down and Thompson is 2.50. Amazed Sheffield do not wish to retain Kerr.

Guessing Pardubice round will be the same weekend as Golden Helmet. -
The strongest side I could write down is Zmarzlik, Lambert, Lindgren, Janowski, Madsen, Bewley & Dudek. Seems about as likely in positions 3-6.

WTF?

No, his lawyer did

Don't think anyone will argue with that.

Google translated from link Fredrik Lindgren is reported to have opted out of Sweden It looks like there will be no Fredrik Lindgren in the elite series in 2023. Västervik's team manager Morgan Andersson reveals that. - Fredrik will not start in Sweden, he says to Västerviks-Tidningen. During the summer of 2021, Fredrik Lindgren returned to the elite series after signing for Västervik Speedway. He has since been a strong scorer there, but next season he looks set to once again opt out of driving in his home country.

Yes, if I have interpreted it correctly then it gives Wolves & Ipswich a huge advantage as they had two RS's who held their own last year, in the case of the Monmore outfit it is slight more fair as they had two riders on the RS list in their line-up all year. But why should Ipswich get the benefit of Rowe deciding to take time out (don't remember him getting injured), Belle Vue only had Brennan because he didn't get injured or take time off. Actually, having done the math, Belle Vue are still getting more out of this with the minimum average being 2.5 should Witches retain Hume & Rowe and Wolves retain Kemp & Flint neither will get a team building points advantage as much as Belle Vue get for retaining Brennan as Kemp & Rowe don't average much more than 2.5 anyway.
