  1. Hope Cook is more interested in racing than he was last Monday. No. NKI low average rules out Holder & Ellis, Doyle & King. P'boro & Wolves are in action so their riders are busy.
  2. Probably the only chance KL have of scoring 30 of Aces ride like they did against the Tigers. Musielak isn't great at NSS but I'd rather watch him try to score points & fail than the other riders that fit, can't see him coming from Poland unscheduled for a guest booking. Sure KL will go with R/R (cheap).
  3. Not a single post meeting comment from a Brummies fan.... says allot.
  4. BIRMINGHAM: Lewis Kerr, Stefan Nielsen, Claus Vissing, Ashley Morris, Justin Sedgmen, James Shanes, James Pearson. GLASGOW: Craig Cook, Danyon Hume, Ulrich Ostergaard, Benjamin Basso, Tom Brennan, Broc Nicol, Connor Bailey.
  5. If a facility is card only they won't have a "float" so customers without the correct change are unlikely to purchase anything. When the BSPA decide he's a rising star Suspect it has more to do with Poole wanting to run meetings on their traditional Wednesday night. In older traditional times it would have got Sheffield the aggregate bonus
  6. Douglas form has dipped as has Wolves league campaign.
  7. That was obvious a month and half ago. At least Stars have the cup & pairs. Never, with the exception of Ipswich the other teams are too abject at Monmore.
  8. I attended in high summer once when Poole had Holder & Ward (Kasprzak out-shone both that night against the Panthers), the aging grandstand was full and there was a smattering of fans on both bends but nowhere near 3000. Unless that grandstand has Tardis qualities. A few years later, on my second visit against AJ's abject Hammers with Kurtz & Andersen (don't remember any other riders) the crowd was about the same.
  9. The club have to be fair to season ticket holders who stumped up the money at the start of the season, for little more than a free program - which if it wasn't included I certainly wouldn't buy. I read (most of) it but it's hardly compelling! The burger vans outside the grandstand were also absent. If the Aces are in that form I dread to think how one sided the televised match next week is likely to be, guessing no NKI and with Wolves at the EoESg, riders from Tigers/Witches available to guest... I'd assume Doyle & Holders averages are too high? Don't pretend to know the rules now but looking at the GSA's I think King & Ellis are also too high.
  10. Well I wasn't expecting that! Aces more dominant than Tigers were in corresponding fixture at Owlerton. Some great races. For BV. Zagar superb wasn't really gating but made his way through the field, Fricke heat 11 was the ride of the night, going between Holder & Cook more than once. Unbeaten Kurtz (why no heat 15?) & Wright pairing resulted in 14-4, Wright will be disappointed to have not passed Howarth in heat 14. Brennan will be disappointed to register the first 0 on the Aces scorecard but superb in heat 1 attacking Cook while fending off Holder. Blodorn's best performance yet, pushed Tigers for few laps in heat 12 & Etheridge chipped in. For Tigers. Mountain being the pick of the visitors was unexpected good heat 4 win. Cook did enough but stuck to the white line all night - seemed more interesting in impeding Brennan in heat 1 than racing Zagar. Ellis was involved a few good scraps, as was Sedgmen but never came out on top. Howarth was awful, made the gate in heat 10 but Zagar flew past & Brennan forced his way inside him a heat later. Howarth gated again in heat 14 but Etheridge reeled him in, Wright was quicker but ran out of laps. Musielak spent the night getting the better of Howarth but the effort was there, tried every line often looking like he was riding a bucking bronco rather than a speedway bike. Good final ride maybe he's finally figured the NSS out. Holder was disappointing but showed effort good heat 13 win with Fricke & Zagar buzzing around his back wheel. No burger vans outside the Grandstand meant the solitary catering facility open had a busy night. Wrote that before heat 15! Great win from Wright, Fricke 4th to 2nd before engine failure.
  11. They indeed were. Zagar always shows composure when off gate 4 but superb ride from Brennan. Musielak much the same in hear 3 as during the PCM.
  12. Why? Will have to up his NSS game to trouble Aces top 3. Was poor in PCM opening night of the year.
  13. tofeek - Musielak? No, no televised meeting tonight. Kings Lynn visit to NSS next week is the next televised meeting.
  14. Weather forecast is good, no rain after 7 am, cloudy all day.
  15. Holder 4+1 from 6 in Lublin, Ellis 7+1 from 4 in Daugavpils. Looks like an injury free afternoon.
  16. From Poland.. Max Fricke 3, 3, 3, 3 = 12 Norick Bloedorn 3, 1*, 1, 0, 0 = 5+1 Tobias Musielak 2*, 1, 3, 2, 3 = 11 +1 Holder two thirds in Lublin so far, passed by Hampel in second ride, beat his reserve partner and a retired Drabik.
  17. With all 6 Premiership teams in action tomorrow, Stead & Lemon will be desperate for an incident free Sunday in Poland as suitable guests will be hard to find. Fricke represents Falubaz Zielona Góra at home to Trans MF Landshut Devils for whom Blodorn lines-up. Musielak (Krosno), Holder (Torun) & Ellis (Daugavpils) also due to ride today.
  18. So the Tigers return to the NSS, having won on their Cup visit earlier this year and humbled the revised Aces at Owlerton previously. Aces line up with Zagar @#1 & Brennan moves into the top 5, with Etheridge joining Blodorn at reserve. Suspected Aces line up - Zagar, Brennan, Kurtz, Wright, Fricke, Etheridge, Blodorn. Tigers unchanged I assume - Holder, Cook, Musielak, Howarth, Elis, Sedgman, Mountain. Musielak showed no liking for the NSS at the Peter Craven meeting but has been in good form - he was absent for the Cup visit as was Cook. Sedgman was also poor at the NSS when he guested for the Witches. Zagar & Brennan will hopefully be more adept in heat 1 than Fricke & Etherdige were (except for the visit of the abject Panthers they've been 1-5ed ever meeting I believe). Prediction 47-43.
  19. The practice live stream was working on a device where I'm not logged into a Facebook account. Try this - language is Polish though.
  20. Kurtz 13+2 (6), Zagar 7+1(5) in Bydgoszcz today.
