E Winner and Div 2 league fixtures
Col replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Weekend of 18/6 looks the winner to me. Torun, Grudziadz, Bydgoszcz, Gniezno, Gdansk & Poznań all have home fixtures. -
When are fixtures due?

Of the visiting Ekstraliga Liga teams to Torun & Grudziadz. For me it's a choice of Leszno & Czestochowa or Gorzow & Lublin. Leszno & Czestochowa would be my preference. -

So it's just a case of book something and cross fingers Bydgoszcz is on the Saturday that weekend. -

Torun does have an airport, it's just hasn't been used for a long time! And never for commercial flights. I confess I didn't initially look deeply into it. -

That would be the start of my next AL leave unfortunately. I have an awful lot of AL to take before the end of July. If not Bydgoszcz I'm take Gniezno or Poznań. What are Gdansk and Torun airports like? I've flown into Bydgoszcz and Poznań before. -

Are the dates & times of Bydgoszcz home fixtures as yet unknown? I'm trying to find a weekend with Grudziadz/Torun/Bydgoszcz are at home on a weekend and I can get to all three (happy to drive a rental). Torun & Grudziadz fixtures are playing ball. -
Surprised by Neilsen signing, he's been a rider allot of people thought had potential for a while, some still do, but it's never come to fruition. Thought he was too fashionable for Perry Barr. Losing Castagna is a double edged sword. His scores are poor away from PB, but he single handedly won some home meetings for the Brummies last year with 7 rides from reserve.
-
Saw enough of Jack Thomas at Perry Barr last year to see the potential, the downside is that if the track isn't right (and it often wasn't) he will saunter.
-
Hahaha! Indeed. The rules imposed by PZM do not stop them riding in the Championship, although as Lebedevs is League1 in Poland (AFAIK) it wouldn't apply to him anyway. However almost all Polish league racing is on a weekend, the same can be said of the Championship so they'd almost never be available except for fixtures at Birmingham & Poole.

Did you also believe Newman & Ostergaard were nailed on 2022 Brummies? Until Tuesday?
-
If the answer to the second question isn't Danny King it's wrong. So Ostergaard signs for Glasgow, Newman for Oxford. The "I know the team already club" were very wrong.

I can only assume a "fan favourite" is a rider more popular than Valentin Grobauer, which lets face it doesn't take much. Morris had his 2019 season curtailed by injury and never seemed to get back to where he was then in 2021, so might be a decent signing. There were glimpses last season. Shanes is entertaining if the track suits him, but f he won a heat at Perry Barr in 2021 I don't recall him doing so. Neither exactly "wets the appetite" really. I assume Castagna will be the third signing.
-
Roynon was great at Perry Barr 15 years ago! He'd have taken a second off the track record if he'd gates just once before he got injured the year he was a Brummie. It saddened me to see him ride so subdued on his visit in ,2021. Yep! Forgive my sins but my mate who's a Villa season ticket holder and relies upon public transport has missed a few games recently because the public transport is rubbish. The Metro is also shut for an unknown period & the M6 is still constantly having "improvements'. Took me 2 hours to get home from Coventry Blaze v Belfast Giants Wednesday due to roadworks on the M6 by Spaghetti Junction..

That septet would collect the wooden spoon. Must be 6 points below the limit! The much maligned Sedgeman would be a better signing than Shanes.
-
So... 1. Riss, 2. Thomas, 3. Castagna 4. Auty, 5. ??????, 6 Morris, 7. ?????? Those 5 add up to 30.41 what's the limit?
-
Oh. Dear. Worrall replaces Schlien & Kemp replaces Nicol.
-
Really? Been there how long? 4 years? Super Troopah & Ermolenko? Correy? Lindgren?
-
When are the fixtures out?
-
I assume Holder & Ellis has a higher average than both? Tigers should go with 1. Holder 2. Howarth 3. Cook 4. Ellis 5. Musielak
-
Go look at Ipswich & Sheffield septets and think again. Lawson & Pickering had good 2021's I can't see their averages improving, just going down. It's good to see Kildemamd back riding in British league but he's a bit of a spent force. Kerr, Worrall & Jorgenson are Ronseal, little/no improvement. I saw enough of Thomas at PB last year, he has lots of potential but he will saunter if the track isn't to his liking. Stars will be competitive as they'll have a strong reserve, heats 13 & 15 are gonna be their down fall.
-
Think Ipswich will have the East Anglian bragging rights but I'm sure that septet will be more competitive than this year's.
-
Kildemamd will be on a reassessed average, surely, must be 5 years since he rode here?
-
Only Howarth would I have thought Tigers would swap out for Pickering if the top 5. Didn't look at the averages. Cook is a former GP rider Holder, Musielak, Howarth & Ellis have never been GP regulars. Can't remember any of them having a wildcard? Reserve maybe?
-
That's a great septet! Well, I don't know about Mountain and I've only ever see Nielsen fall off. But the #1 rider in Polish second tier, British Champion, Polish Ekstraliga heat leader and two riders who know the British league like the back of their hands, one a former GP rider. Would Tigers fans swap Howarth for Pickering maybe? Guessing Batchelor will be the Saddlebow Rd marquee capture
