Because it depends how that average was attained? A rider who averages 5.2 from reserve had easy rides attaining that average than a rider who attained an average of 5.2 in 1-5. In this circumstance I have no idea from what position Bacon attained a 5.2 average, certainly until the signings of Aarnio & Garrity, with Morris injured Castagna was often being called upon for heats 13 (R/R) & 15 duties at Perry Barr. Which IMO significantly lowered his average, if he spent any time at all at reserve it was at the start of the season.

He was a reliable above average second heat leader at most in Britain ten years ago. I doubt he got that far up the Ekstraliga & Eliteserin ladder. He wouldn't put my bum on any seat. Poole look back, last time he rode over here he was feigning iinjury so you could use Tungate as a guest!!

Odd. Surely Gleb Chugunov will be their regular #8 with Lebedevs, Drabik & Fricke in the engine room.

Got my tickets, apartment & flights booked, just got to hope Ekstraliga put a Friday & Sunday fixture within reasonable distance Leszno/Rybnik/FZG/Wroclaw. Easyjet flights to from Luton on the Thursday & Tuesday with hold luggage came to less just a shade over £200 for two people. Haven't been to Prague since 2003 (and that was a stagdoo) so looking forward to investigating the City again either side of the speedway.

Kurtz is not younger enough to be #8 is he? Doesn't seem enough Poles in the Bydgoszcz team. Looking at the riders already confirmed for the Ekstraliga, Rybnik are going to struggle to put out a competitive team.
