Ashworth Over Looked Why ?
Midnight_Lady replied to Phoenix Nights's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I am not disagreeing with that. But your arguement in your first post for not including Ashworth was based on the fact that he stayed in the PL therefore in your opinion he showed no ambition so shouldn't be included in the squad. But this is Ollie's second stab in the EL isn't it? Didin't he find it tough going the first time and came back to the PL to get himself sorted? Can't Ashworth be afforded that consideration too. Personally I don't think Ashworth is ready for the GB squad but you can't use the arguement if he is in the PL then he should be overlooked. Havvy isn't and Carl Stonehewer certainly wasn't a few years back. -
Ashworth Over Looked Why ?
Midnight_Lady replied to Phoenix Nights's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Now that is interesting especially as Gary Havelock chose to go PL this year and hasn't Middlo called Havvy in to the squad. So team GB are looking to the past rather than the future are they not I think what is rather harsh is saying when young rider finds it too hard financially to compete in the EL it's called "lack of ambition"? I am sure Ricky Ashworth will be back in that most revered of leagues when the time is right for him and he can afford it. -

Team Speedway Junior World Championship

But depite Wiiliam's brilliant performances this season he was overlooked for the squad then later on asked to be on standyby as a reserve. Bloody cheek but then he isn't English is he so will be overlooked for the squad properly Anyway it all pales in to insignificance now since William was injured on Monday -

Premier Travel Inn Price Increase
Midnight_Lady replied to holbeachfans's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Surely if it's in black and white in the email with the original price then the Premier Travel Inn cannot change their prices to that customer? If they can then surely that means whatever you have in writing from a company means diddly squat. I would challenge it Holbeachfans. -
Bydgoszcz Tickets
Midnight_Lady replied to gary pops's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
To be honest why bother checking with the changes in times when we are still seven months away from flying. As Dennis Norden said it will be alright on the night and that's from someone who has to get a connecting flight -
