  1. According to the Mendip Times April edition, Rebels have a new rider Josh Grajczone.
  2. It's not a sport, usually in sport, barring bad luck the best man or team wins. It's definitely an entertainment, but apart from racing the entertainment needs improving.
  3. Should have SGB and picture of sinking ship.
  4. I shouldn't take much notice of what The Director of Speedway says.
  5. Swindon Season ticket only £238 or seniors £195 plus a free programme. Don't mean to be disrespectful, but Somerset don't have to pay rent for the stadium outside of the family like other clubs, so lets have a free programme, don't want lots of photo's and info you can get on line, just a race card.
  6. Somerset will suffer when it comes to tactical's , cannot see any of the team stopping on regular basis the likes of Coventry's Kasprzak and Andersen, Poole's Nicholls and Harris, Wolves Lindgren or Swindon's Doyle. Will it be arranged that Swindon only visit Oak Tree when Doyle is not away on Friday GP practice? Why have Senior prices gone up £2 to £15 when adult price gone up £1 ? Adult admission now £16 for 17 matches that's £272 a year if you attend every match. An adult season ticket at early booking price is £232 saving £40. that's a saving of two and a half matches, if you go on holiday just once a year you don't save anything. How about free parking for season ticket holders.
  7. This is definitely not Elite League as it used to be a few years ago, Rohan would never have been a top league number 1, it's a Premier League under a new name but with fewer teams. Will fans get fed up seeing the same teams visiting. Unfortunately the gap between the few top riders and the former Premier riders is bigger and may give more processional racing and false averages. Hope it's a success but the old Premier was better with more variety and riders more evenly matched, team should win at home but may struggle away, how ever Gary not afraid to make changes.
  8. I thought it was going to be promotion to a higher League, this looks like a Premier League team, I wonder if riders will be asking for more money because the name of the League has changed?
  9. In the Play Of for promotion you could have one rider riding for both teams with the doubling up, how will fans feel if in a vital match their number one is riding for the opposing team.
  10. Will you actually see the top riders in this League? Who is going to sign a 12 or 13 pointer and have a top heavy team.
  11. The Speedway Great Britain Premiership, that rolls of the tongue, Jason Doyle on a 13 point average, and I thought Trump was a surprise.Think Somerset are taking a big gamble. In my opinion Premier League racing was more exciting than watching Elite riders who make fewer mistakes and there are more processional races. I assume that admission prices will increase and Somerset will need to change their race night to avoid absences from GP riders and foreign commitments.
  12. Glad the Rebels won, but feel sorry for Glasgow beaten by a guest reserve.
  13. Only my second visit to Oak Tree this season so you can blame me for what was a complete train crash disaster of a meeting, I should have stayed at home and watched Strictly. Wish injured riders well. Garcia the most dangerous rider I have seen for a long while.
  14. Speedway has no credibility, 4 guests for Somerset. It's not fair on Edinburgh fans who would like to see the high flying League Leaders, only for a Somerset Select to turn up. Surely this fixture could have been re arranged. That's why I cant be bothered to attend anymore, just watch it on TV.
  15. Clubs need to realise that you can create atmosphere by playing the right music, they do this at Cardiff GP but tracks don't seem to be bothered, can't understand why, perhaps they don't think they are in the entertainment business and 15 minutes of racing is sufficient.
  16. Tungate has another commitment so R/R, rider absence is main reason I don't attend anymore
  17. Pearson is past his sell by date, got fallen rider mixed up, Tatum had to correct him on green light starters orders, it's ok to get excited but screaming a load of rubbish statements in not, very irritating.
  18. Poor Devils side, Holder nowhere near a number one 7-08 average and Boxall a replacement for Brady Kurtz is a joke. A string of 5-1's for the Rebels.
  19. Good news, who is replacing Josh and Jake on Friday?
  20. Heavy rain showers with isolated thunder storms from 7pm, but forecast has been wrong before and hope it is for those attending, showers will probably miss Highbridge.
  21. From 2017 the FIM and BSPA will introduce a major change to the rider elimination rule for all speedway meetings. In a joint statement it was said that it can be safely assumed that no rider would deliberately knock another rider off. it follows therefore that any such racing incident must be purely accidental . The new rule will adopt the Olympic rule to be known as the "Cavendish Rule" in that the rider who caused a crash will not be excluded and the race be allowed to continue. A spokesman for Nicki Pedersen said, "Nicki welcomes this rule change which was long overdue, it should make the racing more exciting".
  22. Me and Tony were going to make a rare visit tonight until saw weather forecast, it will now probably stay dry. IDH may get down to see you before end of season if no guests.
  23. Eurosport mess up last nights highlights broadcast, started with heat 20 then followed with heat 18, then semi final then back again, a whole hour and only 4 heats shown, none of the early heats, someone should be shot
