  1. Yes I was there stood beginning of first bend and Jensen went for gap that was not there and knocked Glasgow rider off.
  2. If only Jensen had not brought down Summers HT 14 at Oak Tree. Well done Glasgow.
  3. Speedway supporters don't have to live with it they can walk away, which is what they are doing. The reserve should not be allowed to have 7 rides and score a potential 21 points. 6 rides is enough to cover an early heat injury. Assuming an injury occurs in heat 1 that rider has to be covered in his next 3 rides and a 6 ride reserve limit more than covers this.
  4. Make sport safer whether it be slower bikes or by whatever method, and you will reduce injury's, if you reduce injury's you will reduce the need for guests, if you reduce the need for guests and the team advertised actually turns up myself and others will come back to the sport. Make it cheaper for riders to compete, they will keep more of their earnings, and won't need to double up, stop doubling up riders missing meetings and even more fans will return.
  5. Each team has not had a line up of 7 riders as there is a lot of R/R and most of the team are guests from other teams. If you drop the points limit to 34 you will be watching National League racing, and instead of losing one or two of your favourite riders each year most of the top 4 will have to go.
  6. I agree with everything he said, persuade him to take over from Harkess.
  7. Voting tonight for rider of the year and it will be a huge injustice if Paul Starke does not win. He has carried both reserve berths single handed for the whole season, consistent home and away, with scores like 11+3 last time at Peterborough being typical, the Rebels would have been in dire straights without him.
  8. I would much rather watch Kidermand in the GP than Harris who will give us another year of British embarrassment.
  9. At last someone admits there are too many guests, but nobody will admit that although riders are missing due to doubling up and foreign commitments, the number of injuries account for a large number of guests bookings. The only way you will resolve this is to have bikes suitable for the size of the tracks they race on, if that means having less power, getting rid of lay downs or 250cc speedway bikes, that's surely better than no speedway at all, which is where the sport is rapidly heading.
  10. Interesting to read Dave Swanton's opinions, and he is of course entitled to his opinion, but mostly he doesn't know what he is talking about. He suggests getting big screens, saying screens can be hired nowadays, they have the big screen at horse race meetings and it is definitely not cheap, cannot see tracks being able to afford this and where would it be situated so as not to block someones view. He mentions the whiff of methanol is fabulous, I have not smelt the whiff of methanol for many years now. He says he would not allow anyone to race in this country if they are not attached to a club here, how does that help British speedway, another daft idea. He says Peter Karlsson flies in and out of UK on race days so he can be with his family, and to Swanton that's not fair on the supporters, he has no affiliation to the fans. I mean what does Swanton think, if Karlsson stayed in this country would all the fans visit him at his house, what a daft thing to say.
  11. With last nights points in the bag it's too close to call who will be second. Peterborough only 1 point behind us with matches in hand and Glasgow 5 in front, so we need the 4 points tonight
  12. Enjoyed a good match, much better than last week. Rebels problem was they only produced 6 heat winners, thought Rasmus looked good, and fast from the gate. Don't know who got rider of the night but it should be Charles Wright's brilliant ride in heat 12 to pass both Witches in one move.
  13. Ipswich were not at Edinburgh, oh I forgot 3 of them were, so discount that result.
  14. Think Gary should have made two changes in the top 5 so he could strengthened up at reserve.
  15. Don't agree track was rubbish, a nice smooth surface, no dust, perhaps a bit more dirt on outside needed, but track looked good to me.
  16. The best thing about this meeting was the chicken curry and chips, must have had half a chicken in it, excellent. Don't remember much about the match think I fell asleep.
  17. Not enough water and dusty reports last 2 weeks? Predict last heat decider.
  18. Last night Redcar Bears at Somerset, R/R and 3 guests, needless to say I stayed at home.
  19. Good to see Josh performing well after the 4's incident. I thought the opposition was supposed to be Redcar Bears?
  20. We don't need higher quality riders, you can get good racing in the National League. What we want is better presentation at the tracks not just 15 heats and the rest of the evening standing around in silence and the 7 riders named in the official team actually turning up.
