So was I... Also wondering what kept him from being active on the International section. Going through some different section today I came across this most sad news of him passing away. I wish to express my deepest sympathy to Alan's wife - Karen, and his family. I know that he also loved and followed Polish speedway and was always courteous and well humoured. Rest In Peace, Alan. -

They always have their choice...no one makes them do that they don't want...it's up to them who they sign for...but if they do, they need to observe conditions set up in their agreement (with any club). It is as simple as that. -
In the early 90s Lublin was the first club in Poland that signed a foreign rider. They aimed very high and signed the world champion, Hans Nielsen. That was then, Lublin was riding at the top level. Today Lublin rides in the Polish 3rd Division, but they are still as ambitious as ever. They want a promotion, and for this reason they signed England's top u-21 rider, Robert LambertEveryone in Lublin was looking forward with anticipation for his debut, and they were not disappointed. Robert made his debut last Sunday and it was very successful. Robert scored a maximum points, and his team won against Poznan 58:32. The English rider is very happy with his result, especially when one takes into consideration that before the season he practiced in Lublin only for two days. - For the Lublin trtack I have prepared one special engine - confessed Lambert on SportoweFakty.pl - which has proved to me its value. I would like to maintain this sort of level in home matches , because they will certainly get more difficult, " said Lambert after the competition. Numerous supporters at the Lublin track welcomed him very warmly on the pre-match presentation . The atmosphere on the stands made a great impression on the British rider. It was something not seen so far in in his riding life . - "We did a great job as a team. I like how everyone in Lublin behaved towards me. Coach Darek Sledz is a great man, and the whole team helped me to set in. At first they were a bit shy, but then everything went as it should. Also the fans warmly greeted me and I would like to thank them for that. I am very happy, " concluded Robert Lambert.

According to report published on sports.pl Polish fans, will probably have a big headache because of the unusual big number of the television coverage of their favourite sport. There is a new player on the broadcasting market, TV Eleven, who already have rights to broadcast English Premiership League. Soon there will come an announcement of purchasing rights to broadcast Polish Nice Speedway League, (second tier) and test matches of Poland's National Team. Eleven's offensive on the market is the effect of withdrawal from speedway of Polish National TVP. This is benefiting Polsat TV and Eleven TV. Currently all indication are that Eleven will be covering matches of Nice Polish Speedway League on Saturdays and Polsat SportTV on Sundays. This is no end to that, as there are unconfirmed reports saying that Eleven TV bosses are negotiating rights acquisition to show the individual Junior World Championships. All in all Polish fans this coming season will have an extremely wide choice of television broadcasts. Compared with previous seasons only coverage of the Swedish league matches will be missed. Over the last three years these matches were shown by Eurosport, but due to poor viewership station did not extend the contract. The Eurosport will still be covering Speedway Best Pairs Cup and European Championships. For now, NC+ TV is the number one station in speedway coverage in Poland. Thanks to them Polish fans ( and quite a few on this forum) enjoy watching matches in the PGE EkstraLiga, plus all the rounds of Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Team Cup.

The Polish Motor Association must pay back half the price of the ticket and accommodation expenses incurred in connection with the Speedway Grand Prix in Warsaw in 2015 - ruled the District Court in Warsaw, which dealt with the PZMot appeal. The ruling is final – writes sportowefakty.pl In May this year the Regional Court in Warsaw decided that the Polish Motor Association were responsible for the poor organization of the Speedway Grand Prix in Warsaw in 2015 and ordered return of half the ticket price and the costs incurred for accommodation. It did not matter that the PZMot commissioned the track preparation to a professional company i.e. Ole Olsen. Due to the fact that the competition was interrupted after 12 of the 23 heats, the court found that the fan is entitled to reimbursement of half the ticket value and the costs incurred for accommodation and PZMot as the organizer of this event ought bear these costs. The Regional Court verdict was appealed by the PZMot On 7 December the District Court in Warsaw heard the appeal which challenged the unfavorable judgment for for PZMot. It rejected explanations and upheld the original verdict by the Regional Court. This means that the PZMot must return half of the ticket value and the accomodation cost borne by an unspecified speedway fan. -
