  1. Many thanks Penny, Kalle's track record is recorded...
  2. Both venues updated, many thanks
  3. Fantastic! Thanks for the info (Buxton, Kent, Kings Lynn and Mildenhall already matched my data... The others I've updated) All are now up to date on the first page...
  4. Have a peek on the Workington website;) However, who ordered Berwick colours???
  5. Beat me to that one... Close behind was Jarno Kosonen of the class of Edinburgh '97... Was 3 bike lengths ahead of everyone out the start in every race he rode... By the end of lap 1, he was 3 bike lengths behind everyone... Can't complain too much though, we replaced him with the one and only Motor Carr and the rest was history...
  6. Indeed... Was only a matter of time before the Chatzone was deserted for FB. Pity really... I like reading about the team I support rather than how some sad git de-fluffs his belly button 6 times a day whilst sadly reaching level 394 of Candy Crush rubbish, alone waiting for his Mum to call him for tea... Secret society? Closed shop? What rubbish... There is more than one moderator on the CZ who are all consulted prior to banning someone or refusing entry.... To my knowledge, that hasn't happened recently. Dekker has explained the reason why people can't access the CZ. Simple issues with protecting the Tech side of the Chatzone. Why don't you contact people directly rather than publically lambasting them even when you've been told the reasons?
  7. Nick Morris 8.84 - Might yet be back at Somerset if rumours are true that some riders are having visa issues... Mikkel Bech Jensen 8.41 - Elite with Lakeside Mickey Dyer 7.58 - Retired Sebastian Alden 7.37 - Unattached for now Andrew Tully 7.19 - Sitting out a year Leigh Lanham 7.16 - Unattached for now Jozsef Tabaka 6.00 - Won't be fit for start of season Mitchell Davey 3.00 - Likewise Jozsef Of the remainder. I'd expect at least Compton and Albin to be at Owlerton, North maybe back to parent club Peterborough? Still some decent riders there... Lykke had a good first season behind him and would be a very good reserve to start with... So too Palm Toft who is a snip on that average... Tero Aarnio 5.86, Henning Bager 5.30, Danny Maassen 5.00, Michael Palm Toft 4.92 Dakota North 6.55, Robin Aspergren 6.39,Hynek Stichauer 4.56, Andre Compton 4.36, Max Dilger 4.22, Kasper Lykke 4.04, Jake Anderson 3.97, Facundo Albin 3.62, Nicki Barrett 3.60
  8. Sorry, no... please explain? When did you apply and what was your E-Mail address?? As Dekks says, there's no-one been refused registration on the Chatzone... The only reason that the system will reject a registration is due to the types of E-Mail addresses being used...
  9. Maybe and I'm not disputing that - but he's not going to be a real star straight away... those riders are few and very far between... It was the introduction of a Charles Wright full of confidence at reserve that won the league - it was the single biggest influence. Now he's in the 1-5, he'll not get anywhere near what Newman achieved last year. Where you think you're a stronger side than last season I have no clue!!! If I were a Rebel, I'd not be over the moon with this 1-7...
  10. Tripe? really? I don't see too much difference - all If's and But's.. but the one thing that is without question is that by signing them 3, the rest of the team is extremely vulnerable - especially away from home, and certain members of that top 3 won't tolerate a lack of back-up...
  11. Guess we'll have to agree to disagree... I'd say the Lawson/Summers/Smith heatleader trio at Redcar at least match the Somerset trio and Wright will find it very difficult in the main body of the team this time round... From the relative comfort of a reserve berth, a lot of riders beat better opponents but at no.2 or 4 it's a different kettle of fish altogether... Don't know anything about Brady Kurtz - he may be a gem of a find but he'll take time to learn the circuits so in his first year, he'll be on a learning curve... Personally think it's a mistake letting Davies and Newman go... At least then you had a second string that could back up the top men... 3 top heatleaders with 4 reserves in the past hasn't worked and that's what I think you've gone with... It's a mixed team but a one that needs the top 3 firing in every meeting otherwise they could be on the end of a tanking or two...
  12. Considering he's only had a couple of full UK seasons, that's a bit of a tough comment... Took Cookie 4 full seasons to be the best...
  13. Really? You think this is a team that looks "as good if not better than any other announced"??? Maybe again the best heatleader trio in the league so far (not the top 2 though )... If any has an off night, there's not much support... Wright in the top 5 will be found wanting as I think will Kurtz... As much as I loathe to say it, Ipswich are by far and away a more solid 1-7 who on the basis of what's announced so far, will be the team to beat. Newcastle and Workington aren't far behind them and then Somerset just ahead of the announced Rye 1-7... Unfortunately can't see Starke or Wright lasting the season at Somerset when averages drop...
  14. Agreed to an extent he was Mr. Dependable at home - though some heat 15's found him wanting... However, Away from home at a lot of tracks I saw him, he was poor and never gave the back-up that the top of the team really needed... A move away was inevitable really but good luck to him in his "new" surroundings!
  15. In total fairness, ultimately it was a change at the bottom end of the team that won them the league and Cup... The introduction of a reserve scoring 10pts each meeting swung the tide in their favour... I like the look of the Cook/Vissing/Masters/Fricke/Sneddon/Worrall/Davey team should Jozsef not be fit for 2014... Vissing will only go one way and will master Armadale. There's more than enough support in there until he finally gets round the place and with an injury free season now behind him and possible continuity, he could be an ideal signing on that average...
  16. Well allegedly we eat an occasional dodgy burger but I have to admit, the Berwick Burgers are by far and away the best in the speedway world... Maybe you should be renamed the Burgers?! Would love to see the Baby Motor at Armadale but I'd respect him too for staying with his hometown club...
  17. Think it may have been a red herring;) Cookie has already stated he's doing another year PL and there won't be anywhere else he'll be than the Dale:)
  18. Don't see why, but them's the rules so gotta live with them!
  19. In normal circumstances, I would be optimistic about our chances at Derwent Park, but we need to get someone firing to back up the Cookie Monster... he can't win meetings on his own and a couple in the team need to step up their game otherwise another promising season will end trophy-less...
  20. Well played to the Rebels... far superior out of the starts compared to the Monarchs who were left floundering in 3/4's of the match. When we competed from the start, the Rebels knew where to go on turns 1 and 2 and left us for dead. Some good racing towards the second half of the meeting with heat 12 by far the stand out race. Not Morris' biggest fan but he got the bit between his teeth and a double overtake on opponents teamriding in front is pretty special. Some quick racing last night but was inevitably going to be won from the starts with the rain on Tuesday plus the meeting on Monday. Unfortunately we were found wanting in this department and never got a look in. Good luck against the Rockets in the final... Anyone who thinks a 26pt defecit is retrievable against such a powerful heat leader trio has been eating some cakes they shouldn't have been!
  21. The one and only Motor Carr in full flight... that was stylish... Leigh Adams though is the one that springs to mind... always seemed to be sitting in his armchair yards ahead of anyone else...
  22. With the Rebels still defeating the second best team (by league position) by 2pts without their top 2 average riders, it could be a difficult evening for Edinburgh... Not sure we can contain the Rebels at the OTA a third time this season... No worries either way, I'll be there supporting the men from the North:)
