Newcastle Verses Sheffield 17/07/14
pablo133 replied to HadrianDog's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
simon nielsen would be ok as he has just been dropped by sheffield, goes well around brough park , any thoughts -
great move by the management shame the bspa stopped lambert signing, i would have posibly swapped rosen for lindgren as rosen has potential , and ludo wont improve further imo

Peterborough Panthers 2014

you would think it would be re drawn, but then again its speedway so that would be too must like common sense, so they will probably miss out! -
i cant believe anybody would sign kus , he must be the most frustrating rider in the league imo !!
-
i would rather have ludo than tulley, who just rides the white line most of the time, at least ludo goes looking for the dirt line!
-
my team in 2014 - worrall - not ready to move up for another year - needs to work on his away form to be a real number one , this will come with experience kerr - massive prospect heatleader material rosen - as above henry - rock solid, better option than tulley and lindgren robson - solid 7 point man loads of experience not sure about the remainder lambert would be ideal but possibly unrealistic, maybe steve worrall if he can find some form? i dont want tully back as he is poor away and average at home imo, also schram cant ride our track so he can leave along with possibly lindgren he must be the most inconsistant rider in the league a world beater one minute then a novice the next ! but if rosen did go to poland i would gamble on lindgren as his replacement,
-
just like nicki pedersen, kenny bjerre, kenni larsen ! i think lemo, sneddon , etc are great team men but wouldnt want them in my team
-
i agree but ludvig has more potential imo he just needs to learn about bike setup where as tully wont improve as hes been at the same level for a few years now SIMPLE!
-
i would go for - kerr, rosen worral, henry, robson as definites and build the team around them, agree lindgren is inconsistant but lacks the knowledge of bike setup but would prefer him to tully, worral isnt ready to leave premier league as his away form isnt amazing and he still needs to improve his passing skills imo probably because he gates so often he doesnt have to pass riders

great result helped by renes injury, if it wasnt for palm toft ncstle would be in trouble over the 2 legs, i thought ned, henry and ludvig rode ok but the latter two didnt gate so made it hard for themselves from the back, still worried about lemo and robo who only managed one race win each and when behind never got near the race winner in most races, this has been the story all season and as some said in previous topics i would think hard before offering them a contract for next year, as they arent the riders they were whether it be due to injuries or mechanical problems or just age catching up on them who knows. -
Is Speedway Too Expensive Now ?
pablo133 replied to Super Blue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
prices for the riders need to be looked at for machinery tuning etc - if a ban on tuning was in place it would save on expensive engine repairs, also the price of spares is ridiculous - i heard a new rear mudguard is £170 absolute joke no wonder the sport is in trouble with prices like that when you can get a mudguard for a motocross bike for less that £20 -
Somerset Bv Newcastle Double Header 28th Sept
pablo133 replied to oldtimer's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
they maybe the top point scorers but if you look at their scores away from home on average over the season they dont ride like heatleaders, apart from a few matches, far to many times this season they have scored average scores (for them) like 6 - 8 points or even less. its horses for courses you just want all the team to ride to their averages or better, so you cant compare neds scores to the top two of lemo and robo, nedd is a 2nd string / reserve so him getting a low or average score is more acceptable than one of the top 2 heatleaders imo
