Yes you are right Richard, and I think Mike Bennett was the first to call Simon 'Rambo Lambo' in public.

Thanks Chris, but I don't own a mobile phone of that type. I know it's unusual in this day and age, but apart from a Pay as you Go, that only provides me with calls and texts, that's all I can afford. -

My printer doesn't work, so that ruled me out of going. -
How many tracks will run meetings

I wonder if the public are allowed into Amateur Meetings, such as those at Scunthorpe? -
Oh how I wish Buxton could make a league return, I really miss my trips up from Norfolk on Sunday afternoons.

I've never tasted one being a vegetarian, but I've seen quite a few thrown in the bin after a couple of mouth falls during my visits there. I did try their so called chips once, and they most certainly finished up in the bin. Dry & tasteless....horrible.

You can't see the racing when queuing for coffee at King's Lynn, that system could never work in the UK.
-
Oh my goodness, have you ever tried that food at Peterborough.......thank goodness I'm a vegetarian. Twice in the past, my wife has suffered food like poisoning after having a burger there. It might be a coincidence of course, but I didn't think the thing looked properly cooked when she got it.

As much as I want speedway to happen this year, as like all of us, I'm missing it very much, but as hard a decision it must be more for the promoters due to financial difficulties it might put them in, sense must prevail, and write the season off immediately, for the good of everybody.

Seeing this on the British Speedway Website today ROBERT Lambert’s Speedway Euro Championship title bid is on hold – after Wednesday’s third round in Gniezno was postponed. The Great Britain star is just two points behind series leader Leon Madsen, with the overall winner set to claim a Grand Prix place for next season. However, Lambert is one of four SEC riders currently in isolation after a positive Covid-19 test was reported from a member of pits personnel at the Rybnik v Leszno fixture last Friday. It means they must be tested negative next Monday, after the incubation period, in order to return to racing, with the SEC due to resume at Rybnik on July 22 and the re-staging at Gniezno the following day. Surely we here in the UK have got to cancel all ideas of running this year, there is just to much uncertainty running rife.

They didn't mention anything about minimum/maximum crowd levels or people that are presumably in the shielding bracket. I'm confused as to what they really do mean, and most importantly what would be safe for us good people. Life must come before sport etc.

Thanks Gringo, yes you're right, even though when you go through the programmer on the TV itself, it says today!!

According to the C64 TV Guide Lublin v Rybnik is on at 5.00pm tonight.

I wonder if he can sing.

I watched my first ever Polish League match that I recorded on Friday night on Freeview 64, between Leszno & Wroclaw, and have to say I found it all very disappointing. The races in general were no better than National League standard in this country, and the tractor racing was on a par with what we get here. I'm looking forward to seeing if this coming Friday is any better, which hopefully it will be, but thank goodness I can turn the sound off, where on earth did they get that commentator from? As I said at the start, it's the first time I've ever bothered to watch a Polish meeting, are they normally quite good?

Are YOU missing British Speedway?

Yes and No. Reading the letter my wife received the other day from the Government (She falls into the shielding category), realistically it won't be possible for her to attend speedway in August, if it stats then, which rules me out too. We can talk about sports stadiums putting in 1-metre guidance rules in place, which on paper isn't a problem, but in practice it is. In the case of speedway, there are only two stadiums she visits regularly with me, those being Mildenhall & Peterborough. We've now wouldn’t be able to go to the latter, because of the Blue Badge System, that’s now in place. Mildenhall would still be a good chance for her to see some speedway, but I think we all know from places like supermarkets for example, that once folk are in store, it's a general free for all. So whilst in the case of her going to speedway, to ensure that 1-metre distance was observed by everybody, it would need a lot of stewards to ensure that happened, which of course isn't practical. In my wife's case, for medical reasons, she's not allowed to sit in the sun, and because of mobility issues, that just restricts her to the 1st/2nd bend area, which is our chosen location anyway at this particular venue. What of sports stadiums with grandstands? I sit in one seat, but the seats either side of me must remain empty, which is easy done, but what when people want to keep coming in an out for various reasons? What about the row in front of the one you're sitting in, most stadiums in every sport, you're knees are usually touching either the seat or the person in front of you, so to my mind that isn't workable either. What of the cleanliness and safety of toilets in stadiums? These are just my own opinions, and I'm sure many will disagree with them, and that of course is your right, but I just don't see how sport can start up with any real degree of safety still, as much as I'd love it to, as like everybody, I'm missing it. -

I missed it, when was it on, and do you know the next time Freesports (C64) will be showing a meeting Please?

I do use Facebook, but seldom pick up speedway news from it, and as for Twitter, forget it, I can't get my head round that one at all.

Oh no, when did that happen?

Neither will I Brummies_Ste. Had it been available on Freesports, BT Sport or Eurosport of which I subscribe too, then I might have watched some of it. However, I'm not desperate enough to want to watch speedway if means paying out more money to someone else.
