Pity someone won't make an official statement then regarding to KL v Poole meeting, because I've been told by someone within the club that it is this coming Thursday!!

I hope it does get staged for the riders sake, after all, who wants to lose a wage packet, and more importantly, why should they. If the powers to be, want to invent daft competitions, then they should be made to see it through to the bitter end.

Nothing wrong with showing emotion mate, it shows you/we care.

As far as I'm aware, the Poole v King's Lynn and Wolverhampton v Peterborough meetings haven't been staged in this competition yet, despite the first leg of the final having taken place. Can these meetings be forgotten about, with loss of wages to the riders, or are the two clubs obliged to stage them or face a fine. Does anybody know, even if you might not care?

On behalf of myself and I'm sure I can speak for all my friends at both King's Lynn and Mildenhall, enjoy tonight in front of what I hope will be a massive crowd, as the hard work of all concerned over the past few years deserve that. As cityrebel said, don't be shy to shed a tear, because I know if I was there, I would, and I'm a complete neutral, nobody wants to see a track close down. Before moving to Norfolk to live, I'd been a life long fan of Wimbledon, and although on the day of their closure I had moved to my new home, Mike Bennett gave me honour of returning and filming the meeting for him (main camera), and I'm proud to say that I cried my eyes out during the final race, to the point where I couldn't see what I was doing. Let your emotions go and don't hold back, and feel proud to have supported your local club the Stoke 'Potters' through good times and bad. I'm so pleased that I made the journey up for your KOC fixture against Plymouth earlier this year, and took some photos of the stadium and riders. I wonder if there is any way that the promotions of Buxton & Stoke could join forces, and bring racing back to High-Edge Raceway, so that the fans of both clubs could continue to enjoy their favourite sport for many years to come still. Whatever the future should hold for you loyal Potters fans, I wish you nothing but the best, and good luck to you all, I'm so, so sorry..

Completely agree Tellboy. If it's staged next Thursday, even though it doesn't affect the play-off's then some sort of a crowd will attend, but if it's left until October after the play-offs, hardly anybody will turn up, there will be no point.

Bloody hell, not another one. Coventry, Workington, Buxton, Stoke and Peterborough in the future, what on earth is happening. I feel so sorry for everyone connected with all of these clubs.

There are rumours on Facebook, that the Peterborough Showground is to close down altogether. Has anybody else heard anything about this?

Yes, the track seemed in good shape last night, which did provide some very good racing indeed. Well done to Tony Steele also, who pushed the meeting along at a proper pace, and we were done and dusted by 9.05pm which included an interval.

Fully agree. These riders will probably get abuse from certain sections of crowds at tracks they visit when their bans are over, yet the management side of things come out smiling. Apart from people like Jon Cook, Martin Dugard etc., what about that guy on the roving mic (don't know his name, and don't particularly want to) who was throwing in his twopenneth at every given opportunity, he doesn't seem to have been mentioned in these discussions. If the riders are going to be named and shamed, then so should the windup merchants on the microphone, both interviewer and interviewee, who lit the blue touch paper long before the parade and subsequent actions. Not doing so, to me is victimisation,

I also applaud the quick decisions that have been taken, but punishment MUST be given to certain members of the Eastbourne management too.

I don't think it was a case of him riding into the marshall. Rightly or wrongly, he was at a snails pace turning right into the exit entrance of the pits, when the flag marshall stepped to his left in an attempt to get him to return to the centre green. Unfortunately, the rider saw red, and wrongly did what he did. But it wan't a case of him riding into someone.

Maybe so, but he was turning to enter the 'Exit' gate. I agree that the three riders involved should receive punishment, although I thought there was a fourth Eastbourne rider involved, but for goodness sake, Neil was at the meeting, and must have heard and seen the wind-up job being carried out by certain Eastbourne officials even before the riders went on parade, and they too should be punished. Just my opinion, and yes I was there as a neutral observer on a short holiday.

I'm not condoning what took place during those mad few minutes, and punishment should be handed out to every last person that was involved and can be identified, but as a neutral attending the meeting, and standing almost in front of where the happening that sparked of the incidents took place, my honest opinion was the Craig Cook was in the process of turning his machine towards the pit gate.

It's very strange, as some people are opening them okay, and others like yourself can't, and I'm afraid I don't have an answer to that. If you're on Facebook, you can see them all on the MSDL page, and hopefully they'll be on the British Speedway website at the end of the season.
