tigerblues replied to Shortcrust's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Come on Greg and anyone else who can knock Crump out the semis after he's not scored enough to win tonight... -
Gp Qualifying Final

You must be joking, why would the BSPA want to sort that out when they have more pointless rules to come up with? Ta for the link to updates Anders....come on you Brits!! -
Gp Qualifying Final
tigerblues replied to spook's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Andersen...Karlsson...And the excellent Pole Rune Holta. Ideally, I'd like it to finish Andersen(Thouroughly deserves a place even though he isn't my favourite rider in the world), Bomber Harris and Steady. -
Bridger When he's old enough to compete

I'd love to see Loram back in the GPs but we absolutely need to be bringing these young British riders through. No way is Loram past his best, no way is he too old, but he isn't particularly young either, now at the moment our 2 most promising riders seem to be Bomber and Steady, out of the 2 I have to favour Chris Harris but both are coming on well. The other British talent is Danny King, James Wright, Edward Kennett to a lesser extent, all of which aren't ready to even be a wildcard IMO. Presuming Scott Nicholls keeps getting points in and finished in the top 8 and providing Lee Richardson doesn't get yet another chance and not make the top 8 we only get 1 Brit qualifying. Personally I cannot see Harris or Steady getting a place through the qualifiers so if it was up to me I'd go with 1 Brit, or Nicholls and Harris. But of course the former can't happen, I mean Scott Nicholls can't sell all those Cardiff tickets himself

Jonsson is the No1 Swede at the moment, but then again in the GPs this season I thought he was anyway. Maybe not going to be World Champion(although I wouldn't mind being proved wrong!!)but definitely going to start winning GPs, he's a talented guy and still got a lot to offer. As for next Swedish World Champion, I reckon Lindback's in for a shout but I wouldn't be surprised to see Lindgren up there with the best a few years down the line.

2006 World Championship
tigerblues replied to Alun Chapple's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Nah I reckon both Bjarne Pedersen and Antonio Lindback will be a bit higher, Pepe no way bottom, but maybe Iversen? Apart from that I'd guess pretty much the same...although come September it could be turned right around. Edit - Hancock will defo be higher than 11th! -
Copenhagen Gp
tigerblues replied to ZKZ Kitten's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Sounded about right until you said the last bit -
So....who had the better year?
-
Nicholls finished 1 place off qualifying, Richardson came 2nd in a GP and Chrzanowski won about 2 races if that. Hmm.....
-
Yeah he tries and spends money but the real question isn't about what he's like, but why is he in the GP, or a reserve anyway?
-
What a joke Has all on getting to the starts never mind actually racing. Think I saw one good race from him this year, towards the end mind you. I agree, get Bjerre above him, why he's even in the list is beyond me, but KB should be in the GP anyway, not below Tomasz(add more 'z' and 's' is needed )whatshisname....

2006 Gp Dates
tigerblues replied to tigerblues's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Thanks -
Sorry if I've missed this somewhere but have the dates for the 2006 GPs been confirmed yet? If not has anyone got an idea when they will be?

Get it scrapped! It can win a meeting but it can go the complete opposite. If a team are 9 points behind, then quite simply they're not good enough for the points!

Gb Get Speedway Wc Final 2006!
tigerblues replied to Brightonbob's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Would love it at Sheffield. That would give Machin no choice, he'd HAVE to open the back straight I don't think Cardiff should get the final, simply because it is too far for virtually everyone, apart from Newport fans. If it was at Cardiff, crowds wouldn't be nearly big enough, as it's already been said, people will choose between the World Cup and the GP. Seeing as, if possible, I'd like to get to both, it would leave many thinking if the World Cup is worth a trip down to Wales, when the GP is a month earlier. -
Slovenian Gp 2006 Date Confirmed !
tigerblues replied to tomazpozrl's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Woo my birthday At least I'm not going to be bored now -
I don't think I'm liking the final nominations for this year. Nothing against Zagar here because he is a fab rider and I have full respect for the guy, but he isn't even in the EL yet. He had a right good GP last year but come on that doesn't mean he can do that everywhere! Look at Lonigo for example!! Hans Andersen....where is he?? If Richardson's in then surely Hans should be included, and if not why is Neils in?? He's a great rider and everything but since when was he GP standard. I'm all for trying new talent but Neils isn't quite ready!! He's only going to get better so why is he included next year. If he doesn't impress next year, he probably won't be included the next year when he more tha n likely WILL be ready!! Not sure about Pepe, not really been following what's been going on with him this year, but he's another who I'm not convinced with. We'll see next year, but they're my thoughts until the GPs start!

Scott Nicholls is the British Champion, if he's not good enough to represent GB in the GP then who is?
