Keep checking my phone for an update, hope it’s positive news. A big knock for GB and Aces speedway. He does have seven months to recover and will only miss (for us anyway) four meetings plus KO Cup semi. I’ve always said The Aces will never win the play offs as our horrendous luck carries on throughout the season, no swings and roundabouts to see here. The rules were seen as a joke after Kennys injury cost us the title in 2005. Changes to the rules only saw the usual suspect clubs flout them so we saw another rewrite and low and behold who does it effect again? Aside from Wolves last year we’re the only club to be hit this way - again. Looking forward to next April and seeing super Dan around the NSS. Have a good Xmas everyone.

Maybe seed the Belgiums to plays off final?

This is like the marry, sleep or kill game. Marry - Godfrey Sleep - Adams Kill - Ford -
Christ, this had taken a dark turn since I last looked in. I was going to add my bit about super Dan but I’ll not bother now for fear of being insulted. For what it’s worth I think anyone should be able to compare any two speedway riders on a speedway forum without fear of abuse.

The continuing decline of Speedway

I never have an issue with guests replacing injured riders as I cannot think of an affordable alternative save for R/R. -
Never forget the climax to the 2005 U21 World Final. Still sends shivers down my spine. Speedway at its best.

Aces riders whilst riding for the club have won 40 gold medals.

Great to hear Harris managed to pass a disinterested Batchelor and Richie passed an out of sorts, beaten up Tobias and er Jack Smith. Bless the excitement hungry pirates fans creaming themselves over that. -

Missed opportunity to use up one of Jacks rides. If you’re off 15m at Poole, you’re last, 100%. FTG. -
I don’t think anybody is advocating all tracks to be the same, just that each track offers the chance for riders to race. Personally if you only got one race with passing every meeting it would bore me to death.
-
Christ, if you use that criteria then there ain’t enough ink for The Aces world champs.

Somerset v Poole Prem B. 20/8/18
ouch replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
There should be a MINIMUM of two racing lines and this should be monitored by refs. If they observe a meeting with only one line then it should be mandatory that it is corrected for the following meeting. Tracks that provide only one line need to be fined as they would if consistently providing a dangerous surface. -

Problem for us if we make the play offs is if we meet Poole. The gate and go nature of Wimborne Road makes us very vulnerable, sure it makes for great speedway at the NSS as we can easily pick them off but down there and over two legs I could see The (R)aces losing out. -
If that’s the case why all the previous misinformation?

Belle Vue. Fundin. Missed UK. Mauger - Rider control. Crump - Poached whilst new owners took over.

King's Lynn v Wolves 22/08/18 DOUBLE HEADER

Hope this doesn’t end up like last year when Wolves we’re gifted 8 points and The Stars only had three riders from the original team for the second meeting. Lessons not learned? -
Rule have changed.

“I have no clue but he saved the club from dying” 50% of that is correct. -
Uess Craig has been a guest then his last three visits to the Abbey were 9+2/5, 8/4 & 9/4 giving 8.62. Kurtz averaged 8.80 so we benefited by 0.18. Quite how that small amount effects us getting four points I’m not sure?

He only got 8 from the four rides he finished.

Somerset vs Belle Vue Premiership 15/08/18
ouch replied to SomersetBlue's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Great effort from the lads last night and should we sneak into the play offs a final with the two teams would be a mouth watering event over the two legs. If we do sneak in and end up with Poole then as Monday showed we just can’t do it on the gate and go circuits, so it would be heartache again for the (R)ACES.
