  1. I agree riders fighting should be dealt with severely. The fact only the Belle Vue lad get thrown out made it look vindictive and biased. I was referring to Lees amazingly ridiculous exclusion after he was taken off. That and what I mentioned above leaves nobody in any doubt that The Colts were not to win today by hook or by crook.
  2. Hold the front page. Official stops Belle Vue team win a much deserved trophy.
  3. I'll have to disagree with you there. Even after Mondays defeat and even without signing Tai Wolves would have made the play offs so crowds would have increased not dwindled. You and Mr Flange can bugger off with your anti play off nonsense.
  4. Watching Jason before meetings at Belle Vue I couldn't wait to see him develop into an exciting world beater. I watched him at nearby Buxton after he was fixed up there and then later at his home track for The Colts. He even had a ride out with The Aces leading Nicki Pedersen for the best part of a race. Mort was charged with overseeing his development but due to cash being tight too fund the new stadium Jason went off to Rye House and that unfortunately was that. With his spectacular from the back style he would have been a massive plus for UK speedway. I'm gutted how iits all worked out both for him and selfishly for me. The blow is softened somewhat by watching Craig win for GB whilst collecting a silver medal and seeing young Dan kick his career off. Best of luck Jason hope you're fit and riding soon.
  5. Having a crappy rulebook is something we are all use to, the problem is how rules are interpreted differently depending on which clubs are involved. Belle Vue continually get penalised by weirded interpretations whereas if you're in the clique or have some say like the chairman you can bend things to your favour. There's no swings and roundabouts its just the same old clubs doing as the please and the same old club being sh*# on from a great height.
  6. An NKIless Stars score 38, take out NKI in the match The Aces lost and they got 36. Just shows how precious it is to bag a fixture at Lynn when NKI is not riding. It was announced when he signed that he wouldn't be doing all their meetings and there was a bit of an auction to grab meeting where you gain a big advantage. The Aces weren't involved. If that's how you want to run the sport and how teams want to win then I'll leave it with you as I want no part of it. Disgraceful.
  7. Amazing to think a mere 9 points from NKI would have seen a stars win.
  8. If we had said yes the BSPA would have definitely reassessed Tai's average to block the move.
  9. If you want to refer to Tai as a ringer that's fine but no rules have been broken. We get moans when teams win with over half a team of ringer guests or when meeting get called off if the promotion don't fancy it. Doctors notes get issued on a whim for out of form riders or if they just can't be arsed they are replaced by a PL six pointer but again no rules are broken. Written into the rules is the Joker where second scores more than first and people moan about that. Speedway doesn't have a wealth of floating fans turning up at different times to keep crowds healthy we are down to the die hard of the die hards, mainly fifty plus. These fans hark back to good and fair competition and as with the examples above take issue with things even when no rules are broken. British speedway seems to keep chipping away at these stalwart fans and with nothing to replace them with the future is bleak but the modern day mantra from promoters is "I'm alright Jack".
  10. Maybe go back to the system in operation the last time The Aces topped the league and made the final. The one where no replacement was allowed even to replace a rider with a broken thigh. Sounds daft I know but at least it stopped The Aces winning so job done by the powers that be
  11. Tiresome. If ever there was a bloke in need of another trip to "Rome". Back in the ignore box then.
  12. Tbh the Henka increase was just another chance to have a pop at Belle Vue and I fully expect Woofy to be in place for the play offs. CVS and principles lol.
  13. When Belle Vue signed Henka Gustafsson many moons ago a CVS led campaign was set up to have his average increased due to the improved world class rider he had become since his last spell here. His average was assessed up. CVS being the principled chap he is would be looking at this happening again so Woofy ain't going to fit I'm afraid. I'm guessing 8.50 to 9 points for Tai.
  14. As an Aces fan I'm concerned about Wolves 'cause they are good and Poole 'cause they cheat.
  15. Gate an go once again at Poole, they need to address that if only for the holiday season.
  16. Very poor racing. I'd normal watch the recorded tv show when I got in but instead I cleansed the palate with this year Aces DVDs from the NSS. I blame our promotors as they need to grow a pair and stand up to BSI. It's not enough to say they have hired the place and are running the show as something like last night can reflect badly on The Aces promotion going forward. It takes some doing to produce racing like that at NSS, if they had done nothing after the last match it would have been 100 times better. If we say the track can take rain we mean it and we know what to do. Christ we completely redid the track in 30 mins the other week after severe rain and it was great. The guy roughing up the track did his normal outside run, shouted to the start guys that his finished, they started marking out the gates only for our man to come round a further two times on the inside after being told to do that by a fella at the maintenance gate who stopped him going back in. Give them some cinema tickets for over the road and tell them we'll sort it.
  17. I think people can have a tattoo of what they want wherever they want it, it's their choice. Your statement above though is utterly incorrect. There is a booming business in tattoo removal and here you can get it done on the NHS. There is also an entire tv show currently on that is all about people having tattoos changed. To be more accurate, many people regret their choice of tattoo.
  18. Nothing was officially organised so it's a bit off to have a go at the riders that weren't there. Belle Vue pestered Rosco about getting the squad together a few times leading up to the SWC but they were unable to get anything sorted so told the lads they could come and practice if they fancied it. Rosco mentioned about the NSS promotion offering track time during a Sky interview at the British Final. Fwiw Lambert will just go for it anyway and he seems to quickly adapt and doesn't let reputations phase him. Like Tai I expect a max from him. The confident message he is sending out to his competitors fills me with a belief we will still be in the hunt come the last round of heats. Getting excited now!
  19. Aside from the BSI practice session open to all teams, GB have not organised any other track time for the team. Any offers to practice as a team have come from the Belle Vue promotion who made the track available to only team GB riders. Belle Vue hoped all riders would attend but it was not compulsory.
  20. That's good. Natural watering on Thursday followed by occasional natural watering, great stuff. Feeling better after that good news, thanks. I mentioned before on here about watching Egon Muller become world champ. I don't think he would ha e done it without all the testing and practise on his home track. I believe we can win a medal and have Woffinden down for 19-21 points to help us achieve that. I'll be a happy bunny if that's the case come 10pm.
  21. Nicholls shouldn't be picked because he's not good enough and that therefore overrules any other reason.
  22. I'm glad that refs are back in control. There was a blip earlier in the year when the staging promotion was totally to blame and the SCB washed their hands of any involvement. I wish they wouldn't muck about with the rules as to who does what as it makes it look like victimisation against particular individuals. Anyway back to normal now.
  23. All Harris needs is a good bike that will allow him to do his thing. The whole squad should be at the NSS with Peter Johns and Ashtech trying each other's bikes set ups etc to arrive at something they are happy with. Meredith should also be involved and the track should be prepared exactly as our lads want it. If we are just going to turn up like Jonny foreigner and take it as it comes then we're missing out big time. I was in Germany when Muller won his world title after bike, rider and track had become tuned in on the run up to the event and we should absolutely do the same. If we don't I'd like to know why?
