No, the KNMV has motorsport-wide goals for their national teams. The ice guys cannot reach this goal. Think it has something to do that the team has to be able to get a medal or something.

Dutch riders would love to race but the federation does not allow it. Might change next year when we probably see the teams in Heerenveen.

Togliatti ice track is different than the speedway track. It's more on the inside of the speedway track, and around 300 meters. Shadrinsk is a little longer. The artificial tracks are longer at around 400 meters.

Realy wondering about Shishegov as well. Kazakh federation nominated him for Sweden at first, but he's gone.

Very strange selection of riders in O-vik now. Only a few riders are changed from Finland to Sweden. Lageder, Mayerbuchler, Pletschacher should be removed from the lineup and replaced by better riders. For example Ebner, Jell, Niedermaier. I can see some changes coming up in the coming days.
