  1. Vechta is an awesome track. It's like a big speedway track, always produces fantastic racing. I realy like it that they are back on the FIM calendar. They also stage the 125cc FIM event on the same day. Also worth mentioning that Cloppenburg will stage their 'Night of the Fights' speedway event on the friday eve before Vechta. It's a 30 minute drive between the two towns. This event is one of the most professional and entertaining events in Germany.
  2. Herxheim, Marianske Lazne, Muhldorf and Scheessel are proper long tracks (1000 meter-ish). Not always guarantee good racing though. I wouldn't bother going to Marianske Lazne or Scheessel. Both are realy dull places. La Reole is a nice track, but nothing special. Racing is not that brilliant. Herxheim runs on a bank holiday (himmelfahrt) which usally has around 15.000 spectactors. I would go here if you want to visit a longtrack meeting. Muhldorf is a great place as well, and usually a big crowd. I would ofcourse recommend Roden. It's a nice place and very good track. Sadly spectactors are not always very interested in coming to Roden, and therefore the atmosphere is quite dull.

  5. Pletschacher and Shishegov now confirmed out for Inzell. Bauer and Tani are coming in as replacements with Jell being promoted as wildcard.
  6. He should be back in Heerenveen. Shishegov is out for the season. Very very badly injured hand.

  9. I flew there this morning indeed, my mates are coming on Saturday by car
  10. Stadium is too big for Ice speedway. I think the crowd was quite okay, think the same numbers are Shadrinsk. The BSI crew was also in Togliatti, hope they got a good impression of the stadium
  11. Yes the points on this Grand Final Heat decide the World Champion. I think this is quite cool because the this Final heat was absolutely amazing with Haarahiltunen giving everything. Now time to go home after three weeks in Kazakhstan and Russia. Great trip where we joined the Ebner team on a roadtrip from Almaty to Shadrinsk and finally to Togliatti. Amazing experience The roads in Kazahkstan are shocking though, from Almaty towards Astana. 14. Practice pics: https://www.baansportfansite.nl/nieuws/1720/wk-ijsspeedway-in-shadrinsk-van-start-met-de-vrije-training.html Pretty poor not to have a proper replacement for Zorn. Reserve rider Borodin will take his place. Tani and Bauer are in Russia. Iwema was proposed as a replacement as well. Nothing happened.
  15. Zorn is home. Tani told me that he was not called by FIM yet.
  16. Is he not interested to replace Zorn in Shadrinsk?
  17. Just seen Zorn here at the border. He will fly home from Russia because otherwise he would have problems with his car at the border.

  19. Servov won a qualifier event earlier this year, so that's why he's the wildcard. Pletschacher hopes to be back in Shadrinsk. Tuinstra was called on monday, but it's not possible for them to get to Kazakhstan in time.
  20. FIM confirmed it as 'injury'. @Conkers FIM will take live updates for their app from my live update page
