  1. Enjoyable evening as always in GW been a great weekend with two of the best tracks around.
  2. I realy can't understad these people who think this competiton is pointless. Are all individual open meetings for example also pointless? Enjoy your speedway.....
  3. It's only streaming with phones... don't understand the problem. It's different when people come with professional equipment. For example: what Pedersen his crew did in Wittstock was fantastic imo (streaming his heats with Facebook).
  4. Eastbourne on Facebook: "Live broadcasting won't be permitted. It has been brought to our attention that in recent years many fans like to broadcast our events. Usually via social media streams or periscope. Unfortunately it breaches the rights of British Speedway and our club as a whole. Any users found to be broadcasting our meetings from an unofficial source will be banned from the stadium and legal action could be taken further. We hope you understand our decision. If you have any queries please contact Connor or Martin." Wake up British Speedway, it's 2016....
  5. The ice making machine thing is indeed very old and needs to be renewed. This is very expensive and therefore the whole stadium will be demolished. There will be some sort of a congress building build on the 'Bonte Wever' site. At the moment it's unsure were a new ice stadium will be build. Three plans are in the race for the money from the province (Drenthe): in Assen (near the TT track), in Hoogeveen and in Emmen. Assen seems to have the best cards, and when it all goes ahead then there will be icespeedway in Assen again in 2019. Artificial indeed. There is no chance of a natural icespeedway track in The Netherlands these days.
  6. My mate streamed both Icespeedway GP finals in Almaty and Assen with his iPhone and Periscope... both events were followed with great interest. In Assen the FIM noticed him filming and came to him. No problems at all it seemed despite the filming rights bought by Dorna. They were very interested in it (quality, visitors, etc), and even asked if he was going to Inzell this weekend to do it again. I think Periscope (or the streaming in general) is a great thing for the sport Nicki Pedersen his crew were also streaming his heats in Wittstock last weekend with Facebook. Great to interact with the fans.
  7. You are confused with the Best Pairs championship from One Sport. The Wittstock event is just an open meeting.
  8. I agree on Stellingwerf as wildcard, that's fair enough, but not on a German kid as reserve haha. We have youngster Bart Schaap and also Michel Bolt who went all the way to Finland for the GP quali, both could have been one of the reserves. Luca does seem to be very arrogant. Look at the pics, says at all, same as the rumours in the paddock. Schukken had a back problem and since then he hasn't returned, don't think he'll be back on the bike. Ruben de Jong en Dirk Werkman won't be back as well.... I heard they like riding, but not the long traveling. @iris123 When are you in Assen mate?
  9. This is not realy the case, it's all about the politics and good friends Bauer junior as reserve? Give me a break.... The kid was reserve in Berlin last weekend and he didn't even looked interested, both at the presentation and also on the track. He's the wildcard in Inzell by the way.
  10. 'City Team' is from a man who runs the City Casino in places like Werlte and Cloppenburg.
