I really feel sorry for Nigel. You’d think apart from the usual business like challenges running a speedway club would be fun. Running Birmingham Speedway feels almost like bordering on the impossible !

This was the crowd funding page for it. There were plans drawn up, but since the person leading it died it’s all gone quiet.

I think the point he’s making is promoters found a way. Yes we have more going against speedway in terms of venues these days. If there was money to be made by promoting speedway tracks would open.
I guess the only way they would, is if they didn’t think they’d get there money. If I owed the Albert Hall and thought it were a risk, I’d ask for a large proportion up front, or some kind of guarantee. But if speedway has been there x years and has a proven return by a reliable promotion, then there shouldn’t be any issues.
