  1. It's under maintenance and will be back open tomorrow Scarra
  2. Can you give a link for this davidj. Can't find it anywhere at all. Thanks. Update...have found the link abd for those interested it's in the News and Star here http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/sport/comets/speedway-bosses-blasted-for-not-backing-comets-owner-1.998297?referrerPath=sport
  3. Been reading this thread quietly watching the results but have to intervene ML. To be fair to Dirt he says absolutely nothing untoward until after he was rattled at post 76, when you and Dekker appear within 2 minutes of each other as it happens
  4. Well I am very glad Custer Mouse posted it here as I dont read the Finnish news thread, but as a Comets supporter I am delighted to read this and wouldnt have known it otherwise. Agree, to post the whole thread into here is daft, but just a snippet stating the result is surely ok.
  5. Sorry but not sure how anyone can lay the blame at Middlos door...what could the guy do that he didnt do?? With the exception of some decent speedway racing by Scott, Team GB were diabolical... Why is it that we seem to be eons behind other nations regarding machinery and talent?? Cant blame the gating because I didnt think our boys gating was the problem...they lacked speed full stop. Ok so on the whole we are not used to racing big wide tracks like that, but if other countries can do it, why cant we?? Simon and Edward were way out of their depth and as for Chris Harris I personally didnt expect him to do wonders as i am not naive enough to expect him to be in a whole new league on the back of one outstanding performance but didnt expect to see him struggling wite as he did. will be interesting to hear/read the thoughts and opinions of the boys post meeting..."bad day at the office"...not good enough!!
  6. Nikolai took a big knock to his head which resulted in concussion. he was keen to continue but the doc said no! He is fine though but made a sharp exit from the pits! Poured down all morning and then peetered out to drizzle for most of the afternoon, then developed into a warm and reasonably sunny evening...didnt get to use my new umbrella!! Re the crowd size...i have never experienced a big crowd in Denmark....and they are SOOOO quiet...i bought an airhorn and was subjected to "tuts" all around me every time I used it...despite the fact i used it for both the UK and DK riders!! all in all a very good meeting with some good racing!
  7. was wet cold and miserable but track looked good...bit patchy on third turn. klindt looked particularly fast, as did Kennet and Bridger...didnt see the whole session so can only comment on what I saw..weather not looking any better for tomorrow
  8. Agree wiht you Iris...I thought Nivki looked pale, ill and very uncomfortable at times, but as you say, he always manages to find that "little bit extra" when he needs to....but I suppose thats a talent one must possess if one wishes to be world champion!!
  9. The media in Denamrk dedicate far more space to speedway than the uk!
  10. Totally irrelevant who we have in the GPs as for one reason or another we cant gate to save ourselves and until we catch up with the likes of the Scandinavians our on track performances are not worth comparing until we grtasp the "drop the clutch and go" theory!
  11. Hi Schumifan No the crowd in Denmark are not usually big unless its an event such as this!! In general they are low in numbers and low in enthusiasm...............last nights reception after the final race resembled that of a good evenings speedway in the British PL!! We often laugh about the laid back Danish fans...............it must be wonderful for the riders who come to england as newbies as the support and enthusiasm from englsih supporters cannot be matched anywhere here!!! Having said that.....final was very exciting....Iris's post sums it up completely!!
