  1. Thanks, will look out for that, hopefully some kind soul on here will post a link. Think they is still plenty of time for Zmarzlik & KK to come good & give the home side something to think about. Have faith sir! Slightly bizarre heat 7, KK & Zmarzlik falling over each other!!
  2. Agree, nice interview & film there, great to see Darcy making progress.
  3. Daria AND Joanna, we are blessed this evening! Agreed should be a great match this, can't split them, 45-45 my prediction.
  4. Thanks, that would definitely help explain it, as it seemed really 'gate & go' when I've watched before - very different today!
  5. Never rated this track from previous matches I've watched shown from there - but this has been really good so far, very enjoyable.
  6. I had a similar issue to you, gave up & using same link as R&R, working nicely so far..
  7. Max Fricke listed for Rybnik today. Be interesting to see how he goes after his shoulder blade injury. Hopefuly comes through unscathed with another big match for him coming up tomorrow night.
  8. Thought Brummies were good value for their win. Tom Bacon & Danyon Hume were very good. Smithy junior looks an exciting prospect too - was great to see dad sprinting up the track to re-fuel his bike at one point, he was bit of a speedway hero of mine back in the early 80's, young Jack a chip off the block for sure. Track was a bit slick & dry, still one or two good races, heats 13 & 14 the pick. Plenty of Birmingham fans up here, hope they enjoyed the win, facilities & come back for the league encounter.
  9. Just a footnote to last night. Want to say a big thank you to the two Hammers fans in the Raceway Tavern who on hearing I had a 45 min wait for taxi back to hotel, went out of their way to give me a lift back. We have our team rivalries but overall speedway fans are a special bunch. Thanks again lads. ☺️
  10. Excellent point for the Aces tonight. At the halfway point couldn't see us getting anything from this one, at probably our least favourite away track. Suddenly Cookie found the quick way round Lakeside, giving the quality Nicholls & battling Worrall twins the backing they needed. Rode a brilliant line to keep a fast charging AJ at bay in heat 15 to help the skipper seal the 5-1. The much-maligned,in some quarters, Lakeside track produced some good racing tonight, AJ & Scott Nicholls at the heart of much of it. The battle between Nick Morris & AJ was particularly good. So another point towards the playoffs for the Aces. Nice to see the interest in, & concern for, the Aces on here from some of our friends in Dorset. There's really no need, we're doing just fine thanks. ♣️ ☺️
  11. Tough assignment this for the Aces against a Lakeside team who rode well last time in Manchester. Rob Mear & Lewis Bridger gave the Hammers plenty of bite at reserve that night & seemed to really enjoy the new track. If Lewis Kerr can replicate Bridger's points from reserve tomorrow night then it could be very close. Prediction: a hard fought 48-42 home win.
  12. You can turn up & park on the night. Parking on the stadium car park behind turn 2 is £3, as I believe it is on the school too. You can also buy tickets from the ticket office on the night. Queues are much smaller than they were earlier in the season so you should be fine. Lakeside's previous visit to the Aces this season produced some excellent racing, hopefully more of the same on Weds night. Decent weather forecast too.
  13. Racing wasn't great tonight, track way too grippy - part weather caused, part questionable track prep early meet. Issues to be solved off track too, sound has been an ongoing (albeit improving) issue. As a promotion & a set of fans we are still learning about our new home. Plenty to like about the NSS, even SS offered words of praise, honoured! Let's maybe try & offer a constructive balanced opinion (difficult for some on here I know) before we throw the brickbats (or pies). The NSS is barely 4 months old, here to stay, & will only get better. I suspect the SWC final will be a very different spectacle, all we need now is a GB win. Keep the faith!
  14. Denmark Madden & Iversen Australia Fricke & Doyle USA Janniro & Fisher Russia Sajfutdinov & A Laguta
  15. Nearly last to first for Kaczmarek in heat 11, good race.
  16. Good afternoon. Don't know too much about many of the riders on show here. Hopefully some close racing & my Polish speedway knowledge enhanced in a couple of hours time. Heat 1 about to go..
  17. I thought that might be an issue, yet saw Bewley was still listed at no.1 for BV. Await with interest what the Colts management do.
  18. Vaculik £20 more Milik £10 more Lindback £20 more Huckenbeck £10 more
  19. Round 1 (Vojens, Denmark) Russia (Red) 2 Emil Sayfutdinov 4 Artem Laguta Poland (Blue) 2 Patryk Dudek 4 Bartosz Zmarzlik Czech Republic (White) 3 Eduard Krcmar 4 Vaclav Milik Denmark (Yellow) 2 Leon Madsen 4 Niels-Kristian Iversen Round 2 (Vastervik, Sweden) Australia (Red) 3 Max Fricke 4 Jason Doyle USA (Blue) 1 Greg Hancock 2 Ryan Fisher Germany (White) 1 Kevin Wolbert 4 Martin Smolinski Sweden (Yellow) 1 Antonio Lindback 3 Andreas Jonsson Thanks.
  20. Bold move that from Legowik in heat 14 - mighty effective though!
  21. Looking forward to heading over to Buxton for this one. Tony Atkin guesting for the Hitmen, enjoy watching him race. Another opportunity to see how young Dan Bewley is progressing too. Decent weather forecast, any other Belle Vue fans heading over there?
  22. Fair point about Steve Worrall around the NSS. He seems to have found a set up around there that works, he looks quick & if picked for the SWC I don't think he'd let anyone down. I'm not convinced there is much home advantage, yet. What has to be factored in that away riders are really enjoying racing on a track that is big, fast ,fair & there to be attacked - unlike our previous home, where some opposition riders were beaten driving into the car park pre-match. Back to thread, what was wrong with Hans Andersen last night? Sounds like he cost Poole last night.
  23. Well I didn't expect that outcome driving down to Belle Vue tonight. An under-strength Leicester side written off by most, on paper looked a 30 point win for the Aces, surely a formality? Fortunately speedway's not raced on paper & Lions fans should be proud of their team's efforts tonight, they really got stuck in. Palm-Toft was outstanding & battled all night, Hougaard looked like the Paddy of his early days in Aces colours, Auty & Wozniak were always in the mix too. As HT says, heat 11 was a cracker (hopefully the Speedway GB website will show it) between Worrall & Wozniak - hard fought & (just about) ended with a handshake. A bad night for the Aces skipper lacking speed & Max Fricke with rare bike frustrations in an otherwise breakthrough season for him. Matej Zagar can & does frustrate speedway fans at times, but on other occasions makes the sport look ridiculously easy, even in tricky conditions like tonight. Valuable EL points for the Aces, Lions well worth their point tonight too. Big week for the Aces on the road coming up, at Swindon on Thurs, then Cov on Friday. With still little obvious home track advantage, away points are absolutely vital.
  24. Really impressed by Jack Holder the one time I've seen him race, at the truncated World U21 qualifier at Belle Vue earlier this season, was quick on that occasion. Looked quite a prospect on that showing.
