I am and have been for 30 years! Glasgow have been smart and stopped building the team around Cook this year. With Bomber and Basso at the top, what a team. Would happily see them both at Poole
Glasgow look strong so far and if the riders sign as expected they will start as seasons favourites for the title. Fair play they are investing in the right riders with a mixture of experience and youth which will make them very entertaining to watch at home and away for fans.
There is going to be a couple of top riders and a lot of mid average riders missing out at the start of season. Not enough places with a lower points limit.
Rew won the meeting with Tate second. Rew went through the cards unbeaten all night and looked a complete class above the rest. Tate was the only one to get anywhere near Rew. Pearson was third. Bowles looks a promising rider but had a heavy crash in first ride which destroyed his number 1 bike.
I think the 4 which are obvious. Lawson, Ben Cook, Zach Cook and Ablitt.
We will build with 1 solid reserve as normal and it works. We know 5th will be Worrall or King.
After the semi final issues, I don’t think Richard wants to be anywhere near Glasgow. The only way Poole would let that happen if maybe a swap for Tom.
Only thing I don’t understand, why don’t he promoters keep the 42.00 current limit? With Leicester going up the likes of Morris, Howarth and Worrall become available and all 3 can’t go to Birmingham to strengthen them? So we have top riders available which could miss out on a champ place due to a low points limit?
