Okay - but do you know a campsite that has - solid floors, comfy beds, shower and a bath that dont need to be shared with anyone, a mini bar, solid walls to keep noise of others out, someone to make my breakfast!!!

Good luck - I tried all the listed hotels in cardiff yesterday for all weekends in June - nothing available at a reasonable price. Marriott had rooms though!!! Here's hoping for another month!!

For those too lazy to click the link - allow me!! From Speedway worldTV Six times world champion Tony Rickardsson announced his early retirement from both world championship and domestic speedway at a press conference in Stockholm today. Rickardsson missed last weekend’s FIM Italian Grand Prix on doctor’s orders and the Swede has said he does not want to risk any more injuries. He will be replaced at the FIM ES Scandinavian Speedway Grand Prix in Målilla, Sweden, on 12 August by Australian ace Ryan Sullivan, who is second reserve for the SGP Series. For the remainder of the season first reserve Hans Andersen will step up to fill Rickardsson’s position.

Scott Nicholls
Sandie replied to Hans Andersen No1 Fan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
With you there Tabby As a Coventry rider I feel he has done nothing for the club apart from his dominant precence on the track. He arrives minutes before 7pm and leave 5 minutes after parade. He never spends time with the fans, maybe the token few and doesnt seem to want to get invloved and ackowledge those who have supported his rise to British number one. But he is British and a Bee so he will get my support at club and country level. I just wish he could give a little back sometimes. -
And what sort of wipe out would you two like - maybe an Ales type wipe out? No that would give Scott to much publicity and you wold hate that! Maybe a Schlein or Hammill type wipeout that would keep them out of the sport for a season or more. How vindictive you both are! Nows the time rabbit as the school holidays have just started so he will have plenty of time right now! I dont! Oh and by the way - Congratulations to Crump on a great win and to Scottie for a points needed 2nd place

You would never be on your own Sue - you know that!!! But if you have other pans more importnat - then dont let us stop you

Inexcusable Behaviour...
Sandie replied to silver_phoenix's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I dont think that supporting Team GB involves that sort of behaviour. The mindless few - NOT all GB fans Agreed Why english - do you know them all, can you be sure they are English - NO! Why does everyone try and put us all in one basket. Out of the 1,000's of fans there last night it was the midless few spoiling it for others. Then you come on a forum like this and other and yuo seem to get the immpression that ALL GB/English fans are bad to the core. Get some perspective folks. Get rid of the rot and leave the good ones to carry on being proud of our country - faults and all. -
Swc Final Sat 22 July 2006
Sandie replied to Vincent Vega's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
No - she kept her phone down there! (Truth!) Well thats suprising for two reasons - Firstly there were loads more people there for the camera's to laugh at and Secondly - I thought we looked really miserable for 1/2 the meeting and therefore not a good advertisment for speedway! Apart from Nikki of course who did her Go Team GB bit at the beginning! -

It felt pretty full all over the stadium to be honest. I think they let a limited amount into the backstraight stand. The home straight looked solid 1st/2nd bend was full of Poles - but they looked super. Shame they stopped singing and shouting half way through! 3rd/4th bend VERY full. -

Sorry if you think Im 'smug' I just think I was astute. None of us knew who would be in the final but I decided to get the special offer and have a great day out watching the 4 best teams in the world battle it out for the final. Enjoy the day was my thought - there will always be someone to cheer on. So I didnt wait to see who got through. I bought early. I prefer Lupus' summing up of me 'simple' (simplistic I think was the word) and maybe thats more to the mark - she knows me better. The only thing I think is possibly wrong is the phrasing used when selling the tickets at first. I assume it didnt say 'limited numbers available'. I fully agree that £25 a ticket is outragous but 1hr 30mins of football costs more these days. I am sorry for those that choose to stay away - kids around is always great fun but if that makes me smug as well as simple then so be it! Sorry -

Budget airlines sell tickets at all sorts of prices but you still get on the same aircraft and into the same seats. If you wanted consession tickets then maybe you should have pre-ordered them. I purchased my tickets for £35 (two days) before the deadline of end of June. They are now £25 each. Not sure there has been an event recently where children have got in for free so I actually applaude BSI for not charging kids from the outset. I fully understand your dilema of a family ticket being £100 but, without sounding harsh, maybe pre-planning was called for. But of course its just my own personal opinion.
