I'm not getting into that, again.

They must've updated the averages to include yesterday. Sullivan is still top (10.04), but look at TR's average (8.96), almost a full point behind TG (9.80).

Danish Grand Prix - Copenhagen
Subedei replied to Subedei's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
And, I think Crump won in Copenhagen last season. In fact, I believe Copenhagen and Prague (the next 2 GPs) both went the way of the champ last season. -
If you want to know the way, don't bother a policeman, ask Iris 123. Thanks for the information young fellow. As I suspected Gollob (9.87) leading Rickardsson (9.10) and Protasiewicz (9.83) leading Jonsson (8.48). I guess the biggest surprise is Sullivan topping the averages (10.23).
-
And it doesn't look like they have a "minimum 3 rides" rule either. It'd be interesting to see the averages, if anyone knows where you can find them, as I think they'd be surprising. Judging from the scores I've seen, I'd guess Tomasz Gollob would be well ahead of TR in the Tarnow averages and Pepe well ahead of Andreas Jonsson in the Bydgoszcz team. But I could wrong.

Okay. Your 1 stop shop for the Danish Grand Prix. The forum equivalent of Tescos, if you like. A place for your predictions, during meeting chat and post meeting analysis. The forum's least favourite Mongol (that's me, by the way) visited his personal shaman over the weekend and together we sifted through the charred remains of a sheep's shoulder blade to devine the future. And the result was the revelation that TR will not qualify for the final and the Subedei prediction of: 1. Tomasz Gollob (Maybe it was the threat of decapitation that made the shaman plump for the Pole. But if he doesn't win I'll decapitate him anyway, just like in the good old days. Although obviously they weren't that good if you were decapitated.) 2. Nicki Pedersen 3. Jason Crump 4. Hans Andersen

Do you think we should close this thread with a look at the Ekstra Liga table ZKZ Kitten? And will you do the table for us?
-
Well, maybe everyone should learn a song in Polish for the SWC in Wroclaw, that goes something like: "Rune Holta isn't really a Pole, isn't really a Pole, isn't really a Pole." What the hell, TG might even join in.
-
Just speculating, but could Leszno be one of those places that only became Polish after 1945? I mean, certainly Wroclaw (Breslau) was part of Germany up until 1945 and maybe Leszno was the same?

And, if memory serves, it's illegal. -
Well, went to watch the F1 grand prix and then found out it would be more interesting to try and sort out the Bydgoszcz-Tarnow meeting. It should be up to date very shortly. Edit: Well, finished the Bydgoszcz-Tarnow meeting, finally. I hope anyone popping in enjoyed the up-dates and my thanks to ZKZ Kitten for doing the Zielona Gora meeting. And, of course, all details taken from: http://www.sportowefakty.pl/ekstraliga.htm

You're partying and I'm still trying to make sense of the Bydgoszcz-Tarnow meeting.
-
And TG returns to the Polonia Stadium. Will the Bydgoszcz faithful have split loyalties?

Prague Trams/buses/metro (price Change)
Subedei replied to beercellar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
And never carry too much money with you. Prague is relatively crime free but petty crime, such as pickpockets is a major problem, especially in the major tourist areas. Better off making use of the hotel safe and carrying just what you need. Also an idea to photocopy your passport and leave it in the custody of the hotel - you can then carry the photocopy with you. -

I'd say about £200 would be enough. Probably leave you with a bit left over if anything. Anyway you can withdraw cash from banks using the ATMs if you get stuck. -
Anyone Going To Prague This Year?
Subedei replied to DavidH's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
They eliminated the Good Soldier did they? I didn't see it. Who won? I'm guessing it was Charles IV, Holy Roman emperor and Bohemian king. Technically, a German kaiser (the Holy Roman emperor, in later years an Austrian Habsburg until Napoleon disbanded the empire, was the Kaiser and it was only after Prussia defeated Austria in 1866 that the Prussian king became kaiser), but actually his father was king of Luxembourg. That said, during the time of the Holy Roman empire and later the Austro-Hungarian empire, the Czech lands and especially the cities were heavily Germanised as a means of maintaining control. -
Anyone Going To Prague This Year?

And listen to him witter on about anklets all the time? Hope you're joking old fellow. And just remember everyone, most of the public buildings in Prague (Prague Castle, etc) are closed on Mondays. -
Anyone Going To Prague This Year?

I'm going to Prague this year. I'm going in November. -
No need for capitals old fellow. And someone interviews TR after every grand prix. He's usually the last one they interview and that's because he's won it.
-
Well, if something's worth saying, it's worth saying three times.

I said: Rico replied: The correct answer is?

ZKZ Kitten told me that, in honour of her Coventry friends, she was going to wear a Lady Godiva outfit.
