Well, if it's the Crystals, you're listening to a fantastic song - one of the best ever. And Chris Holder could be one of the best ever - what a fantastic rider. A shame I'll probably not get to see him live this coming season - one of those riders you've just got to see, if you've half a chance. When the Pirates visit your track this coming season, make sure you're there and tell your friends.

Home of the Russian Pacific Fleet.

I don't dawdle.
-
Sadly, I don't have a good record with public transport in Prague - I'd end up in Vysehrad or Zizkov rather than the Marketa.
-
I've done it. From the Mustek station on Wenceslas Square, down through the Old Town Square, then along Karlova, across the Charles Bridge, up Nerudova, along Bila Hora, past the Pyramida hotel, across the road and bang, you're there.
-
Just a brisk 40 minute walk from Wenceslas Square to the stadium.

He can't be much younger than Andreas Jonsson. And Jonsson's a more gifted rider. -

I think Andersen needs to be on GM, but he seems very happy with Jawa. -

Yes, you're excused, again. And when Jason Crump has won the title this coming season, I'll excuse him for his displays in 2007. He's a superior rider to Nicki P. -

I'm going with Jason Crump to regain the title. I don't know what it is with Crump? Why does he seem to switch off after he's won the world title? Now, he'll be fired up to regain a lost crown and I think he'll do it - he remains a better rider than Nicki Pedersen. My early thoughts on the riders: Nicki Pedersen - will be there or thereabouts and certainly on the podium. Leigh Adams - it would be nice to see him crowned champion, but I still think he lacks the killer instinct to go that extra yard. Jason Crump - see my comments on this youngster above. Hans Andersen - will pay the price for sticking with Jawa, in my view. Tomasz Gollob - will have his moments, but relies on conditions being "favourable" for him. Greg Hancock - likely to continue to drift, although he can never be discounted on the temporary tracks. Rune Holta - I don't see him doing too much and will probably slip out of the GPs at the end of the season. Scott Nicholls - same old, same old, I suspect. Chris Harris - I think he'll struggle with second season blues. Andreas Jonsson - if he stays free from injury, Jonsson could be a force and certainly in contention for the podium. Bjarne Pedersen - why did he bother qualifying when he shows so little interest in the GPs? Lukas Dryml - will struggle, in my view. Neils-Kristian Iversen - only there because the qualification final was held at Vojens and will struggle. Fredrik Lindgren - could do okay, but I can't see him qualifying by right for 2009. Krzysztof Kasprzak - I think Kasprzak will be the surprise packet of 2008. -
Certainly is impressive. Rather like the Pavlic effort in Croatia.

Any news on Rafal Szombierski? As I recall he was the subject of some controversy at Rybnik last season. -

I'm not Mateusz, but I can confirm that as things stand - and are likely to continue standing - Gdansk are not in the top division of Polish speedway in 2008. -

All it needs is for Filip Sitera to sign elsewhere and that's Wroclaw's junior options about gone. -

I ask again, what's going on at Wroclaw? Andersen and Holder off to Torun, Bjerre off to Rzeszow - not good signs for Wroclaw. -

That's okay if you are in Liga I, but if the call comes from the Ekstraliga, you'll have a liability on your hands. -

Does he do requests? -
It's somewhat depressing to see that the answer seems to have been that he was bored with speedway.
-
No, it hasn't been previously, otherwise Holta, a qualifier and No 14 in 2007, would've been above the former British champion a nominee and No 11 in 2007. The official line-up for 2008 is as follows: http://www.speedwayworld.tv/en/sgp/a7457

Leigh Adams signs for a thirteenth season with champions Leszno, who also sign Troy Batchelor, while Ryan Ryan Sullivan signs a two year deal to stay with Torun. It seems that signing Adams and Batchelor completes Leszno's squad for the 2008 season and we're hardly into November and only a couple of Elite League sides have signed anyone, nevermind a whole team.
