Yes, of course. Where are my manners? Congratulations to Woody-the-bee, drakey and smiles. -

And for those of us who think the GPs are becoming a closed shop, 7 of the top 8 in the standings are the same as last year. The sole change is BP replacing Hampel. -

And your final total young Turner? You had Hancock, so you've got to have scored big. I'm very happy with 4th place. Can't actually believe it. Edit: Assuming we start with 100 next April, my picks are: 50 - Tomasz Gollob 50 - Jason Crump -

So, TR started the 2005 GP season with a 7 ride maximum at Wroclaw and ends it with a 7 ride maximum at Lonigo. Well done to the fellow. A thoroughly deserved GP win. A woeful GP though. Terrible. -

A touch harsh on Jonsson, but he was always going to be excluded. The referee would've looked silly if he'd said all 4 back after not immediately stopping the race. -

I'm surprised Jonsson just had 3rd pick in his semi. He's been first class tonight. -

Anyone think Lindback came into the GPs too early? Or that he might benefit from having a year away from the GPs in 2006? -

Shows how bad this GP has been when a rider scores 6 points and makes the semis. -

I'm not sure we'll see Nicki P at Belle Vue on Monday. As for Zagar, well they're still talking about Nicholls (6 points from 5) as being a possible semi-finalist, so I guess Zagar's got a chance. -

Nasty incident in the 1st bend there. Nicholls up quickly, had a look around, saw BP in trouble and quickly moved over to help. Top marks to him. -

It's this awful track. Hancock just poodled around, made no special effort. But the track gifted him an undeserved 2nd. Richardson tried for a win, made no mistake but the track punished him for his efforts. It's an awful track. It's an awful GP. Probably the worst in memory. This is dire. I wish Sky had stuck with the tennis. -

Look at that heat there. Richardson did nothing wrong but went from 1st to 3rd. It's awful. -

Words can't describe just how awful this stuff is tonight. The worst GP of the season by a million, million, million miles. It's dire. -

I admit, Jonsson has produced the best racing tonight. And probably the only genuine passing. Gollob barely looks interested. But Gollob's been poor in other GPs this season and they've been good GPs. This is just awful. A tiny mistake and you lose something like 50 yards. -

I'm on the point of giving up watching this. It's an awful meeting on an awful track. -

He doesn't look remotely interested. Perhaps his mind's already wandered to tomorrow's meeting at Tarnow. -

I think it's safe to say that my 2,000 credits on Gollob have disappeared down the drain. He's awful tonight. Awful. -

Why not e-mail BSI and ask them. They could have provisional dates already worked out. The address is: mail@benfieldsports.com

Ekstra Liga Grand Final (1st Leg) - Tarnow The Ekstra Liga Grand Final starts on 11 September, 2005, with TG's Tarnow hosting Andreas Jonsson's Bydgoszcz. In the regular season meetings between the two sides, honours were exactly even - both sides won their home meeting 48-42. So, it should be a classic encounter. But Bydgoszcz will have to be on their game - Tarnow have thrashed Wroclaw and Torun in their home play-off meetings so far this season. ------------------------------ Tarnow..56 9..T Rickardsson..3,2',3,3,1 = 12+1 10..R Wardzala..0 = 0 11..J Gollob..0,1,2',2 = 5+1 12..S Burza..3,0,3,1',0 = 7+1 13..T Gollob..3,3,2,3,3 = 14 14..M Rempala..2',2',2',1',1 = 8+4 15..J Kolodziej..3,3,0,2',2 = 10+1 Bydgoszcz..34 1..A Jonsson..2,2',3,1',3,2 = 13+2 2..J Krzyzaniak..1',0 = 1+1 3..R Sawina..2,1,2,0,0,3 = 8 4..M Robacki..1',0 = 1+1 5..P Protasiewicz..1,3,1,0,1,0 = 6 6..K Klecha..1,0,0,2,0,1 = 4 7..K Buczkowski..0,1 = 1 Ht 1..Kolodziej, Rempala, Klecha, Buczkowski 5-1 (5-1) Ht 2..Rickardsson, Jonsson, Krzyzaniak, Wardzala 3-3 (8-4) Ht 3..Burza, Sawina, Robacki, J Gollob 3-3 (11-7) Ht 4..T Gollob, Rempala, Protasiewicz, Klecha [E/F] 5-1 (16-8) Ht 5..Protasiewicz, Jonsson, J Gollob, Burza 1-5 (17-13) Ht 6..T Gollob, Rempala, Sawina, Robacki 5-1 (22-14) Ht 7..Kolodziej, Rickardsson, Protasiewicz, Klecha [E/F] 5-1 (27-15) Ht 8..Jonsson, T Gollob, Rempala, Krzyzaniak 3-3 (30-18) Ht 9..Rickardsson, Sawina, Jonsson, Kolodziej [E/F] 3-3 (33-21) Ht 10..Burza, J Gollob, Buczkowski, Protasiewicz [Ex] 5-1 (38-22) Ht 11..Rickardsson, Klecha, Rempala, Sawina 4-2 (42-24) Ht 12..Jonsson, J Gollob, Burza, Klecha 3-3 (45-27) Ht 13..T Gollob, Kolodziej, Protasiewicz, Sawina 5-1 (50-28) Ht 14..Sawina, Kolodziej, Klecha, Burza 2-4 (52-32) Ht 15..T Gollob, Jonsson, Rickardsson, Protasiewicz [Ex] 4-2 (56-34) ------------------------------ Notes: 1..Ht 5 and Protasiewicz replaces Krzyzaniak in a tactical move by Bydgoszcz. 2..Ht 7 and Kolodziej replaces Wardzala for Tarnow. 3..Ht 9 and Kolodziej replaces Wardzala for Tarnow. 4..Ht 9 and Jonsson replaces Robacki in a tactical move by Bydgoszcz. 5..Ht 10 and Buczkowski replaces Klecha for Bydgoszcz. 6..Ht 10 and disaster for Bydgoszcz as Protasiewicz gets up to mischief and is excluded. 7..Ht 11 and Klecha replaces Robacki for Bydgoszcz. 8..Ht 13 and Kolodziej replaces Wardzala for Tarnow. 9..Ht 13 and Sawina replaces Krzyzaniak in a tactical move by Bydgoszcz. 10..Ht 14 and it's Burza-Kolodziej for Tarnow and Klecha-Sawina for Bydgoszcz. 11..Ht 15 and it's Rickardsson-T Gollob for Tarnow and Protasiewicz-Jonsson for Bydgoszcz. 12..Ht 15 and Protasiewicz gets up to more mischief for Bydgoszcz and is excluded. 13..And Tarnow take a 22 point lead to Bydgoszcz, will it be enough? ------------------------------ Bonus points calculated per British Elite League.
