  1. Any links to the recording of the Danish GP on the internet my mate miss it with this video messing up. I have deleted my copy from Sky+.
  2. I dont think Gollob did anything intentionally wrong, Gollob was in front and the two were riding hard a slight misjudgement by Gollob who did not realise AJ had got so close so quickly had a major consequence. Being on the outside he would have normally been the one to take the impact from any coming together so i doubt he would have risked serious injury for an extra point. Having said that AJ put himself in the position that meant he was going too quickly, too close on the inside and slightly behind Gollob, leaving no room for safety either. I would hate to think what would have happened to Gollob if the race reached the bend as AJ would have probably dumped Gollob into the fence given his close proximity and the state of the track. IMO it was just an unfortunate outcome to hard GP racing, AJ was full throttle and the crash was made worse by the spot where AJ hit the fence. It was a racing incident and the ref excluded the fallen rider, who was slightly behind when contact was made and his fall caused the stoppage. Both riders were very lucky men.
  3. I seem to remember the Tap & Spille in Wallsend used to show GP's is this still the case or are there other places that will be showing it?
  4. N Pedersen (Capt) 60,000 J Crump 50,000 R Holta 30,000 S Nicholls 35,000 N K Iversen 25,000 200,000.
  5. Holiday Inn is good value (Closer to train station), or if you just want a crash pad the Hotel Ibis is very cheap but about 20 min walk to the station.
  6. Interesting Matej Zagar has signed for Rzeszow, he will certainly have something to prove in 2008.
  7. Only change to that line up maybe Jagus or Kasprzak instead of Hampel, but smart money would be on Hampel.
  8. Currently on a training course in Ratingen about 20 miles south of GP so will be there tomorrow.
  9. Going boldly for Lukas Dryml, Krzysztof Kasprzak & Kenneth Bjerre. Lindgren will get a WC.
  10. Last year wasn't it still at 6pm on Sky but the start of the meeting was not live but caught up during the meeting to end live?
  11. Just cancelled 4 rooms at the Village Hotel and Club in Cardiff if anybody is looking for rooms.

    Finnish News

F-S-P posted this a couple of years back: QUOTE(Greg @ Aug 10 2005, 05:13 PM) i hope Tero Aarnio win it I know Tero Aarnio won it! Those are results, havent had the time to search heat by heat results or scorechart. tarabanko... I know Olli somewhat, he used to be very good between the mid 80's and mid 90's. Kai Niemi is more of a mystery (actually to everyone) for me. He was a good international rider in his time, made the most classic exit from the sport never to be heard again by his mates in the UK. He's somewhere in Spain fixing scooters to the best of my knowledge at the moment. His van and bikes can be found from the same place he left them about 10 years ago... Truly a classic stunt!
  14. I would like to see (through grinded teeth) Kennett get it on merit this year, he is riding very well, with reserves of Bridger and Woffinden. However Stead will probably get it (he has had a difficult year being BV No1)with reserves of Kennett and Bridger. The surprise choice maybe Richardson due to sponsor input.
  15. Reduced tickets for women, what is that all about? I must remember to shave and take some lipstick
  16. Using my calculations statistically the World Top 15 Ranking: 1.Crump 2.Andersen 3.Nicki Pedesen 4.Hancock 5.Adams 6.Jonsson 7.Bjarne Pedersen 8.Nicholls 9.Rickardsson - Retired 10.Hampel 11.Gollob 12.Protasiewicz 13.Richardson 14.Iversen 15.Lindback 16.Zagar
  17. It is a very tight GP this year especially with the silly new points scoring method. I am not convinced with Zagars fitness and he may have a tricky 2nd GP year like some riders seem too. I would love him in the top 5 but feel it will not be this season. Gollob i fear if he starts off poorly he will either lack the hunger and be disinterested or quit aka Rickardsson. Jagus was a tough call he, i feel, could be the surprised package but his lack of GP experience may catch him out and i had to put him in somewhere!
  18. 1.Jason Crump 2.Leigh Adams 3.Hans Andersen 4.Nicki Pedersen 5.Andreas Jonsson 6.Greg Hancock 7.Scott Nicholls 8.Bjarne Pedersen 9..Jarek Hampel 10.Antonio Lindabck 11.Rune Holta 12.Matej Zagar 13.Tomasz Gollob 14.Wieslaw Jagus 15.Chris Harris
  19. We are staying in Poznan Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights but will travel up to the GP by train. For the U21 final, if people are arranging a bus from Poznan to Ostrow will certainly be interested. There will be 3 of us.
  20. Interesting to see pictures on Andreas Jonsson website of his winter testing. He was using a new type of forks with a wider but smaller wheel. Looked a bit odd but i wonder if it makes much difference.
  21. The only thing they needed to change was giving apoint for a 3rd place in the semi. A rider who maybe went through the meeting with a 15 point max and finishes 3rd in the semi, deserves an extra point. This would mean he would score the same as finishing last in the Grand Final. The Grand finalists should always score the most points as they got to the final. Scoring should be: Grand Final 1st 25 2nd 20 3rd 18 4th 16 3rd in semi heat score + 1 4th in semi heat score only.
  22. Have done Krsko most years. Cheapest way last year was Wizzair to Zagreb (about 40km from track) this was £55 return Prebooked hirecar through autoeurope about £25 a day and on night of GP stayed at a place called Catez Ob Savi about 8km from the track at a very handy gostilna called Les which has a good bar, restaurant and car park too. For about 40 euros for a double room. Heres the link www.gostilna-les.com. Have always booked tickets directly with the track and picked then up on the day, never been any problems with that. Not sure i can make it next year so do not mind sharing the info!!! All the best JD
  23. Both Holiday Inn and Radisson SAS are very good hotels in Wroclaw. Holiday Inn is near to the train station and has really good breakfasts. Radisson has a nicer bar area. Both within walking distance of the city centre and a short tram / taxi ride to the stadium.
  24. Saw earlier on the FIM website, very good lineup again. Would be nice finale in that German Stadium, if not a nice place to end it in Krsko, always a good GP.
  25. Crump & Adams = 2 Oz N Pedersen & H Andersen = 2 Den Jonsson & Lindback = 2 Swedes Hampel & Jagus & Holta = 2+1 Poles Zagar = 1 Slov Hancock = 1 USA Nicholls = 1 UK Add B Pedersen to make 3 Den. Either Lindgren or Peter Karlsson to make 3 Swede. Gollob to make 3 +1 Poles. Loser is Iversen. If Gollob quits then choice between Sullivan, Harris, Loram, Kylmakorpi for last spot but probably given to UK rider.
