So with Andre on 5.2 that would give 8.02 for another heat leader. That could be a good mix. Just need someone on 8 points. Any suggestions???? Or Lawson plus ANOther
-
Still think Proctor will be in the mix but really not sure about Covatti. I think Ben on his end of season average is a steal. Just hope Poole's injury is not a long term rehab. For sure I would pencil in :- Stead Poole Proctor Wilson Bates What would we have left with this team so far?.?

Sheffield Vs Berwick Pl 11-9-2014
DAVEK replied to Tigerish's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Bates rode at KL last night for Kent - so he must be fit -
Never trust what is printed in the Star They probably mean to print that we need to win at least 2 of our remaining home fixtures

Leg injury. Someone mentioned broken femur. Was on gas and air in the ambulance. Doesn't look good.

I am after spending the last 3 weeks getting my speedway fix courtesy of the TV
-
No thread yet (as far as I can see) Apparently steady has not ridden for Leicester tonight due to tonsillitis. Does this mean he is out for the meeting tomorrow???? Also Lanham stated on Twitter that he is out for another week which rules out the planned practice tomorrow and the return leg on Friday......

Newcastle Verses Sheffield 17/07/14
DAVEK replied to HadrianDog's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Cue Ball is spot on with his analysis. Far better 'all round' team effort tonight and we should gave really hit 60..... The tiger feet record was played more tonight than the whole of this season lol. A welcome return to Ben with a solid score. Brought in to do a job and he did it we'll. -

I really hope my lottery numbers aren't the same as yours on Saturday. Unbelievable......... As you seem to be in the minority regarding Ben, you will have to tell us us all what you would like served with your Humble Pie -

That's the problem with the team at present - we have too few 'gating tarts' -

I think the re-declaration of the Sheffield team would have been done before the press release today. Welcome home Ben and good luck. Nice to have you back again -
Something Got To Change (sheffield)

Yep....and as soon (and I hope not) Nielson gets dropped, he will get snapped up straight away by another club (from the North East). My thoughts change daily on who to drop. Perhaps (if there is no one out there to improve the team), we should leave the team 'as is' and let the lower order develop....... This is a very tough call for the promotion team. Damned if you do and dammed if you don't . Glad I am not in that position We have written off the past few seasons. Another one won't break the bank if we come back a bigger and better team ........ -

Sheffield V Workington(29th May)
DAVEK replied to Marcelle's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Courtesy of BBC weather report this morning... Forecast Summary TodayA murky start with local hill fog and mist, coupled with occasional rain. While the mist should clear, with rain also becoming lighter and more intermittent, it will stay rather cloudy throughout, with temperatures a little down on Wednesday's. TonightMainly cloudy with the odd spot of rain overnight, mostly over the Dales. The best clear spells are likely in the north, perhaps allowing for isolated mist patches by dawn. -

Just posted on Tigers website:- SHEFFIELD Speedway can confirm tonight's match against Berwick remains ON. Conditions are good and the meeting is therefore set to go ahead with the usual start-time of 7.45pm. Sheffield are still awaiting a decision concerning the availability of Ty Proctor for the meeting. -
Redcar Vs Sheffield 18/4/14
DAVEK replied to mrmiddlesbrough's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
By my calculation, sheffield have won the section ..... -
Surprised no one has started a thread for tonight's first must win meeting (the second being tomorrow's return leg). Any thoughts on whether we can achieve the double over Redcar? SHEFFIELD: Simon Stead, Simon Nielsen, Leigh Lanham, Taylor Poole, Adam Roynon, Andre Compton, Josh Bates. REDCAR: Richard Lawson, Rafal Konopka, Hugh Skidmore, Carl Wilkinson, Aaron Summers, Jan Graversen, Luke Crang.

Saw one 'jobsworth' security steward having a go at Roynon last night outside the pits. They should really not be giving out these yellow security jackets as it really does go to some peoples heads....

You're not Dr Watson are you?

You wont be tearing your hair out - that's why i added the topless tractor racing. You cant beat the sight of a 46" DD overhead Perkins on the home straight

Note to the new promotion..... Please memo the following:- 1. The Sun - Its presence at Owlerton on a Thursday evening is absolutely forbidden, unless being shaded by a big black rain cloud 2. The riders - Under no circumstance should riders fall off their bikes. They are highly paid professional sportsmen and as such, falling off and possibly damaging themselves, their equipment and the newly installed airfence, causing much delay, shall NOT be tolerated. 3. Topless tractor racing may go a long way to reducing the boredom should the above points fail to be adhered to.... 4. Halfords to be on standby with 12 dozen foot pumps and a puncture repair kit to speed up any running repairs to the airfence ps Think you may find that there is a ruling against the use of tinted goggles Have a nice day
