tommy replied to tommy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
From what I hear the Golden Band will consist of semis and final this year. Should be great, love the atmosphere in Czech....and good beer -
I'm heading down to Pardubice for the U19WTC and Zlata Prilba on Sep, 30th. Looked all over the net for the starting line-ups for both events but can't seem to find any info. Also looking for any type of tips inc. best bars, cheapest beers, night clubs, brewery tours, etc. ...any help appreciated. tom ps.Rico, HenryW...maybe u want to fly over for the weekend?

He's 48. This has been his 30th season on the track, all with Zielona Gora. Next year he'll be a bench warmer for ZG as he's steadly losing his form and he's gotta make room for the young riders.

Interesting story...no pics though... Recently on a trip to Gdansk, three Falubaz Net F@ns members (including myself) where on our way to GD by a train, as the afteroon came rolling around we got very hungry. While in Gniezno (about 1:40hr from Bydgoszcz) we called up Michal Robacki's (Polonia's rider) pizza shop in Bydgoszcz to see if they'd deliver it to platfrom 4 at Bydgoszcz Glowny. After short negotiations everything was set, 3 medium pizza's where on que to the station. As the traing pulled up to the station the delivery man arrived with 3 damn good pies. After eating the pizzas we called back the shop and thanked them for the delivery and told the lady to send our regards from Andrzej Huszcza and Zbigniew Blazejczak

Janusz Kolodziej Is Polish Champion
tommy replied to Subedei's topic in International World of Speedway
Congrats to Janusz! This was one of the better finals in a long time. The track was prepared for the Tarnow riders and all five of 'em looked fast...even G.Rempala. I hope Janusz can continue this streak and keep on improving! Also big props to Marcin Rempala, awesome balancing on the bike. -
Are you on crack dude???

New Track In Croatia ...
tommy replied to TwoMinuteWarning's topic in International World of Speedway
The venue looks amazing, I guess within a year or two Gorican will replace the SGP in Krsko . I'm sure that with Pavlic as a wild card the organizers could draw large crowds. from what i can understand the stadium has a crowd capacity of 5100 (2100 seats, 3000 standing), 320m long. An 80cc track (150m long). hopefully I translated everything correctly? Can our Croatian friends confirm? Pics -

Kick-ass weekend for sure! It begun on thursday and ended sunday night for me ! Finally got to meet a lot of awsome ppl from GB, Rico, Dave, Capt. Pugwash and his lovely Wife (hope u had smooth trip from Leszno to Berlin???),Kitten (ZG fan ) QueenBee, Nikki, Zetters, Jerke, Bydzia fans and tons of other fantastic speedway fans (sorry, can't remember 'em all - way too many names to take-in at once). What looked to be an innocent SWC trip turned into a a saturday night drinking binge with Rico and myself at the helm. Considering we missed 13 heats I think we still did a pretty good job cheering on Poland ...don't u think? Unfortunately I had to take off right after the meeting to prepare for league meeting in Leszno

Huszcza is returning today to ride in a friendly against Leszno tom

PL & DK, it should be a close one just like yesterday! Walasek IN for Kasper!
-
fan-f*$@en-tastic heat.....
-
Boy, would Lindback have a hard time finding a track in Brazil I think Walasek will get the nod for the race-off.

Rune has both a Polish passport and speedway licence. He's ranked 2nd among Polish riders in ekstraliga. Team manager's job is to pick the best polish riders, wether their background is Swedish, Jamaican or Swahili.
