Unia Tarnow bubble might burst soon, with a right-wing party winning sunday's election in Poland. The winning party has declared it will "clean up" all positions held by left-wing (post-communists in large part) lobbyist and "friends" in all corporations which aren't 100% privatized. Trzebinia refinery is of those, and their future in speedway is uncertain.

Poland looks like a sure bet, but on the other hand Sweden could spoil the party. Should be an interesting battle..

both heats look horrible, these type of events just beg for an air fence.

I'm glad a had a chance to see one of the best (if not the best) speedway riders in history numerous times, including the historic Bydgoszcz GP. Wish him all the best in whatever his does. Tony is class. tom

Recently I read an article in Tygodnik Zuzlowy (Polish Speedway Star-if you will) about a group of former speedway riders from Britain building two tracks in Spain, mainly for spring trainig purposes. Unfortunately I misplaced the article. Anyone have more info the topic?Thnx.

today he raced in a "BOLL" (a company based in Zielona Gora) kevlar (green) which is a sponsor of numerous riders in Poland, I also see that he wore a "BOLL" cap on the podium during in the German U21 final. I'm curious to know if BOLL is his sponsor and maybe looking to bring him into polish league. well, that explains it....

Kevin(?) Wolbert ( I presume it's the same rider) raced as a guest in today's U21 District Tournament in Zielona Gora, Poland scoring (0,0,2,2,1) . Held his own against experienced local riders and never gave up on trying to get a better position. Can our German friends give some backround info on this rider. According to the speaker at todays meeting, Wolbert is the U16 German champ??? tom

When talking to promoters and reading opinions of trainers, etc. I'd say there's a 50/50% chance that next year Polish league will allow two foreign riders per team in a fixture line-up. Sooner or later polish league has to open-up, espacially to riders from EU.

Wojaczek must have been high on crack or drunk. After Pepe got up and threw his goggles on the track I thought he was going to pull a "Kasprzak" on Jacek,who laid on the track for some time after his bike pounced on to his back with a lot of force.

Cze-wa had talks with Davidsson but they fell-through as he can't make today's meeting and CZ will ride w/o foreigner...unless the managment is trying to bluff the opponent.
