Only showing as a 20% chance of rain tomorrow morning so should be good hopefully!

So true. I don't really care about the playoffs right now. Dan is the future of BV and British speedway. I will just be happy right now if he's back riding for the Aces next season.

Dan had beaten Iversen from gate 4 earlier on in the night. To be fair the gates weren't the problem. We had a 3-3 which was fine for us. Iversen just found some extra speed making a fine move down the home straight to take both our riders in one go. Was quite an incredible night in the sense that there was only one 4-2 scoreline all night! Every other race was a 5-1 or 3-3. And every time the Aces got a 5-1 to go 6 up the Stars responded with their own 5-1 every time. Great character from them. Interesting point for discussion... Jorgensen found himself in heat 14 for his 3rd programmed ride. He'd been replaced by Iversen on the tac sub for his other. He was already on a warning for moving at the start. He then jumped the tapes again and was "disqualified". He was then put back in off 15m as he hadn't completed his 3 rides? Should this have been a straight exclusion or was the ref correct in allowing that to happen? Interesting point for discussion as had he been excluded the match would have finished a draw. No sour grapes, would just like to know people's opinions/if they've seen anything like this before? -

I'd have gone with Tungate and Bewley in heat 15. They'd only been beaten once between them all night and even on that occasion Tungate got really close to passing Rob Lambert. Plus they ride really well together as a pair. I would have put Drozdz in heat 14 after his previous race pass of Proctor though. -
Fricke r/r scored 8+1 from 4 rides. Thorssell r/r scored 8 from 4 rides. Considering we were so much better equipped to cope it hardly made a difference, yet in real terms Fricke is a better rider than Thorssell round NSS. And yes you missed Freddie for heats 13 and 15 but we all know the major refereeing decision helped you to a few extra points. All by the by, I'm just saying with 2 full teams it would most certainly not have been a walk in the park for either. As I said, 2 very evenly matched teams imo.

Not quite sure how you reach the "Wolves would have won easily conclusion" after they beat us by 1 point over 2 legs in the playoff semi final when, for all intents and purposes, both teams were complete... 2 very evenly matched teams. Wolves were unlucky not to win anything this season, but had BV lost, we would have been the unlucky ones...

Certainly was. The racing was awesome. Masters and Riss good value at various points. Lawson was excellent, Nicholls got better as the night went on. Couldn't have got worse to be fair. Greaves did ok, Richie W was pretty poor. For the Aces, Harris started well, his scoring dropped off but was always in the mix. Stevie was excellent and his score would have been better had it not been for his chain going on the last lap 5-1. Tungate was awesome, had to get a lot of points from the back as he just wasn't gating. Bjerre again awesome. Smith did a good job. Always there or thereabouts, just couldn't seem to make passes stick at times. Bewley excellent, hope he's fully fit for the Colts. Had a nasty fall bend 1 heat 12. Maybe he was too pumped up from heat 11! Lifted violently in to turn 1. As said though, with BV not exactly having their gating shoes on it made for some brilliant races.

Oh there's certain posters on here who can't wait to criticise. Great effort from the promotion to even get the track raceable. Not only was it raceable but there were good races and passing. One rogue heavy shower in the whole of the North West hit the stadium head on unforecast. The racing that was on show confirmed that the promotion made the right choice in NOT making an early call off.

By calling this meeting a "grudge match" the BV promotion are hoping to get a few more people through the turnstiles. Nothing wrong with it and it would be nitpicking to say that it was inflaming any situation. It's perfectly plausible to have a grudge match without the need for people to cross the line. Besides, the BV leg of this meeting won't be on Wednesday anyways...

Sorry but Captain Cook is a must, GP or no GP!

That will be such as the following post from an apparently respected Wolves fan on social media..."Did Rohan Tungate and Kenneth Bjerre get Swindon winners medals tonight?" If Wolves fans want to dish it out to our riders they need to learn to take some back. I wish Jacob and Freddie the best of luck in their recovery by the way. Never nice to see riders hurt. Oh, and for the record I'm still waiting to hear about these social media posts from Aces riders that one particular Wolves fan got so precious about...

Can't see a problem with keeping Jack on his average.

Bless. So your aim at the start of the season is to go further than "that lot from Manchester"? And I thought it was about winning trophies... Which, by the way, once you've lost to Swindon, you will (most likely) be facing us again for the "consolation prize" of the knockout cup. I'd say it's quite feasible that we will win something this year and "that lot from wolverhampton" will not... Edited to add good luck to Swindon in the final. Best team over the season, from a neutral standing they deserve it. Hopefully no further injuries over the 2 matches.
