I'm amazed that this person (Claret73) thinks that us Aces fans are "bad losers" and we apparently think that we are "entitled to win"! I've seen very little of that on either of the 2 finals threads. A lot of congratulations to Wolves and I don't think I've read anywhere that we are "entitled" to the win. People debating about the league/playoff format etc but no Aces fans saying Wolves didn't deserve it or anything like...? The Tai issue is something completely separate from Aces fans being "bad losers".

Law of averages would suggest that the team at home in the first leg will have a leaf and try to defend that lead. Team away in the 2nd leg tend to have to try and make up the gap. So what you suggested originally hyderd would be hugely beneficial to the team at home in the 2nd leg. Either it needs to be available for both teams on a match by match (not aggregate) basis as it is now, or preferably not at all in 2 legged matches...

Was just about to say exactly the same. The only target for the T/R is for that one rider to win the race and get double 3. The other rider is only scoring single points so yes, an 8-1 would be nice but as long as your T/R gets 6 points you have achieved the maximum available. No issue with T/R over these 2 legs but I would also prefer there to be no T/R at all in 2 legged meetings.

I'm not arguing. Wolves are champs. I even said it myself with regards pressure last night. When the pressure was on in last year playoff finals we struggled. When the pressure was on in leg 1 vs wolves we struggled. When the pressure was OFF last night we were excellent as our guys were riding for fun effectively. Wolves had nothing to gain. They'd already won it in most people's books. However, after the Tai 4-4 all of a sudden we had a realistic chance again. Pressure back on? Results went downhill. Now I've obviously got to give some credit to wolves riders for that but I also question the BV performance under pressured situations.

Hmm. We beat Wolves by 12 points on that night. JK only had 3 rides. Would he have made the difference for a 13 point swing? Would have been close but not a given by any means.

I take a bow Of course I know who Tai Woffinden is (although he has turned his back on British speedway... till it suits of course!). It's just a chant. And after the first time we did it he got 5-1'd. So we do it again. Then he didn't win the T/R as he was expected to. I think that by doing what we did we got in his head a little bit. I'm certain of it. Just look at the interviews. He was more interested in slating us fans than talking about the racing. People expected him to go unbeaten round our place after his performance in the WTC. Maybe us fans helped our team out to the max last night and helped our lads to a few points. Are we as fans not supposed to do that? However, if comments such as that which BWitcher just mentioned were shouted then that's bang out of order. As is Tai for his actions, mostly the non-heat of the moment stuff calling fans scum on facebook.

He didn't "give a little bit back" AFTER being called all and sundry all night though! He was flicking the gestures after his first race! That just incited the crowd! He is a tool.

Tai's words on Facebook... "We killed it last night soon shut up all that scum that was booing me all night". Stay classy.

Cracking meeting. Congratulations to Wolves on becoming the champs. Best team over the 2 legs. Glad we gave you a fright tho! With regards to Woffy, he turns his back on British speedway, comes back here when it suits him so he can be the saviour and hero. Well I'm sorry but I cant stand the guys attitude. He was boo'ed early on but was giving all sorts of swear gestures to the grandstand after every single one of his heats. That riled the crowd up even more. Just clarifying that it wasn't a "build-up" of emotions from Tai after all the abuse. It was from the moment he completed and won his first race. He kept fuelling the fire from that point. Shame for the kids watching. To Tai's credit he came on the mic during the BV rider interviews and apologised "to the genuine fans" but I'm sorry it was too late. Let himself down big time. He is a pro and should act like one. By all means give the crowd some stick but not the gestures he was giving. Just a final word for PK. The ultimate speedway gent and a major part in Wolves success. I was happy for him. Great season for BV. Incredible racing all year. On to next season...

Agree. The only bad luck we had the other night was the e/f to Richie. That was evened out by Stevie jumping the start and winning a race! Hopefully we can at the very least give the Wolves a bit of a scare tonight and keep it interesting till the latter heats.

Kyle hasn't been great round our place. Hoping it continues...

And around Monmore who are the "lesser riders"? Lindgren? Thorssell? Masters? Woffy? As I said earlier in the thread everyone expected the meeting to be very tight, so theoretically that race COULD have been our one and only opportunity to use the T/R. Had Lemmo not used it he would have been accused of being a bad manager for not using the T/R when it was available to him. Whatever he did there was a chance it would go wrong. As a BV fan I have no problems with his decisions on the night. I can see what a dilemma it was.

Not willing to put my thoughts on the team on here until some time after tomorrow evening. What I will say though is I rate Lemmo highly and would love him to stay with BV for a long time to come. No issue whatsoever with his decisions last night. I'd have made exactly the same decisions with regards the Tac and heat 15. Easy to blame with hindsight but realistically, whatever move he made he was potentially going to look silly...

No arguments from me. Wolves is a "different" track but no issue imo. Home track advantage comes from that for everyone. We were beaten comfortably fair and square last night. I was just pointing out that all those comments were said by different people and not just by that particular poster. I know he stirs up trouble here there and everywhere. Please don't misinterpret my post thinking I'm not being gracious in defeat. I absolutely am. Have nothing but good things to say about the Wolves team last night. I will also say congratulations as and when the time comes (which hopefully it doesn't!)...

Don't think you're being fair to him there. You only quoted part of his post and I was under the impression that those 10 points you quoted were actually said by various other people?

If have done exactly the same. People were expecting these meetings to be really tight. That might have been our last chance of using a Tac Ride all night! It was a toss up between a guy who came last in his first race from the best gate or the GP star off a worse gate. Don't know if it was the "worst" as gate 3 had won 4 out of 5 (?) races at that point. Damned if he did, damned if he didn't imo.

Not a fan of Shovvy but he said nothing wrong there. Certainly didn't "wish" for 2 guys to get injured. He even said so at the end of his post!

Personally didn't have a problem with any of the decisions Lemmo made last night. I'd have done the same...

I think BV's best shot at this will be to be leading by 6 or 8 after 10 heats. Cook and Fricke then bag a heat advantage against PK and Freddie. Can't use tac at this point. A 5-1 in heat 12 reserve race would put us within touching distance...

In a final you have to give it 100% in all 30 heats. Not even close to that tonight. Can also sometimes cope with carrying 1 rider but not 3. All to do.
