It is depressing to see only six teams now at this level in the league. Like said in previous posts this league is to nurture the next generation and talent. There are not enough riders in the UK and there are many reasons for this but with the NDL and the Midlands/North leagues that have ran in the past it is giving youngsters that opportunity to get into the sport Like other posts have said I cannot see why all teams cannot at least run a second half type meeting after the main meeting if they do not want to run a full time team at this level as again it will give youngsters a chance and most teams would be able to run a short meet after the main if they cut out all the time wasted

Just been reading it in the Star and it does sound promising, though early days, but be great to see Wimbledon back. About where it will be it says: "They have come up with a suitable site where there is already a go-kart track and enough spare land to accommodate a speedway venue as well as other added attractions, including BMX course and a circuit for model car racing which is a favourite sporting pastime of a potential sponsor"

Speedy recovery let's hope hear some more positive news about his potential injuries 🙏

Yeah that is right as she does F3 now and has done Sportscars. A few others do Sportscars as well think with the same idea. I do not have anything against F1 Academy or motorsport just for women as do watch F1 Academy but like said in other posts in series where you have women and men competing together there is not a massive disadvantage and seen women win races in a grid with men

It is just like motorsport as there is F1 Academy, a series for female racing drivers though you also have female drivers racing in F3, WEC, ELMS etc and have/doing a great job in them racing against men.

I noticed that was shut and fencing round it last year on my way to Silverstone. Shame to see the place closed as always looked busy and always loads of bikers outside when I used to go past.

Reading the link and Buster is asking for silly money for someone to take it over just sounds like Horton when he tried to sell the Bees for stupid money even after they were kicked out of Brandon!

Maybe if Rye House comeback in 2024 he might get a spot in there side (depending which league they ride in)

I am surprised the French Open Tennis is on Eurosport as thought this might have been picked up by Amazon Prime or some other streaming service (if it is not already) though maybe Tennis has noticed putting the sport behind a pay wall suddenly the figures go down

Looking on Virgin Media due to Le Mans and the French Open Tennis it looks like this round will be live on Discovery +

Maybe if some teams are looking at NORA it might shock (or give them the kick of the ****) to finally sort out the sport in the UK but I very much doubt it and heads will remain buried in the sand

Mine was not delivered last week and emailed Speedway Star and they it came on the Saturday in the Royal Mail It has not been delivered today either but will wait till tomorrow just incase as it is usually delivered early in the morning as it is not through Royal Mail but some other delivery firm round here. They are usually good as get my Rugby Paper with them on a Sunday.

I did see this a couple of months back on the local news. Sad to see another motorsport venue could be going
