  1. Well I learned something, thank you. I guess I assumed the rate was negotiated between the two clubs involved not predetermined by this document. If clubs stick to these rates and are not coming to clandestine agreements, I can't see why the document is confidential.
  2. Not too surprising. No bu**er wants to live there. It's too bloody wet.
  3. Oh no you haven't, not unless you've known for more than 9 years. The new decade starts exactly one year from today (no year nought!).
  4. But shrouded in mystery. Or is that commercial confidentiality?
  5. I thought you asked some sensible questions. Why delete the post? edit: I see. Duplicate thread
  6. Thanks for the intel. There are many factors where a track can be placed, but you do have to wonder why anyone would build a track there!
  7. The real trick is to have enough money to sustain your learning period, how ever long that might be. The entry costs are astronomical and your earnings potential minuscule in those formative years.
  8. Just long enough for the cloning process to come to fruition.
  9. Just one question. In which league does Bournemouth compete?
  10. Actually I think Ireland's answer to the JCB is a JCB. Unless you mean Eire. JCB are definitely not EU friendly!
  11. I think it'll have to be a very loooooong weekend. i.e. assuming Wednesday is part of your weekend.
  12. You have to wonder why he bothers with TV game shows with all the money he makes writing books
  13. Norman Jacobs? I'm sure I know that name.
  14. I knew I had something that proved there were two of them......
  15. Why is it that Vojens makes Manchester look like a warm dry place? It's always put me off going there (Vojens, not Manchester)
  16. When did that hold any sway? Try visiting the Poole thread (everyone else does!)
  17. So Wolves have one place still to fill. The conventional wisdom is this is going to be Sam Masters. But. If it was going to be Sam, wouldn't they have announced it already? By my reckoning, that would leave 1.86 points left wanting. So. Are the Wolves management, Peter Adams in particular, with his huge experience and association with the very best in the sport, still holding on to the slim hope that a certain former World Champion can be enticed back as part of his swan song? His last British, top tier average fits nicely into 9.21 left. I'm just whistling in the wind, but hey. You never know.
  18. Perhaps Princes might work better. But the alliteration is poor. And we mustn't preclude any young ladies with aspirations to become World Champion.
  19. There is a way, if one of them qualifies for the 2.5% British reduction!
  20. If such an idea was ever put into action, it might encourage a few promoters to put a bit more shale on their circuits. Maybe to redesign their circuits, even in a small way, to create a few more racing lines and allow heat leaders on a handicap a fighting chance of overtaking those going off the gate.
  21. Just a thought. Do we think, as fans, that one season of proper league racing is long enough to prove anything about a rider and his/her future potential?
  22. Sorry to show my ignorance but Peter was before my time, just. I know he was an Aussie, but was he related to Ronnie? Ronnie was a Kiwi, I know. But he was born in Oz (in Tasmania).
  23. Quite right. We all celebrated the new millennium a year early. Each new decade ( and therefore century) starts on January 1st in the year ending in 1 e.g. 2001. Pedants rule, okay?
  24. If we keep up this theme of what people can do with either hand, we might end up with too much information
