I think you've forgotten to give Kyle Howarth his 2.5% reduction. I think you've Sheffield have got 6.91 left (or 6.30 if Todd is on 4.00).

As a Bees fan and now a Leicester missionary (), I've watched Scott racing for many years. The riders are very accessible at Leicester especially doing post race interviews and it was very clear this season, that he is worth significantly more points than his average suggests. His experience and mentoring skills are invaluable and I for one are saddened by his move away from Beaumont Park. And don't forget, he might be a little less dominant on track, but he did finish 12th in the Championship averages.

British average reduction
False dawn replied to allthegearbutnaeidea's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
This whole discussion has got very confused. My understanding is that all British riders and any others who rode in the NL are eligible for the 2.5% reduction. The reduction is, however, only applied at the beginning of a new season for the purposes of team building calculations. This reduction applying to all three leagues. From then on, the full average figure would apply for subsequent re-declarations, guest appearance, R/R calculations and so on. So in the case of Nick Morris, he may well have signed for Wolves on 6.60 average but the figure put into the team building calculation would have been 6.60 - 2.5%. Please tell me I'm right. -
I remember seeing Jimmy in the early 70's. He continued riding up to 1975 according to this.... http://wwosbackup.proboards.com/thread/2622/jimmy-squibb

John Legman I cleaned that one up.

I think quite a few Cradley supporters and quite a few Coventry supporters, not to mention quite a few speedway supporters, will want to watch Greg in any race jacket. We owe him quite a lot.

Ex-spoons paying at the turnstiles? Are you sure?

My head says you're right. My heart hopes otherwise. Watching H&H in heat 15 at Brandon many times is among my fondest speedway memories. If Greg rides for Wolves next year, I'll be be there, more than once. His appearance in Britain in, what may be his his final year, would be very special indeed. [I hope he reads this]

I think I like that.

Common error underpinning your post. The Thom(p)sons weren't twins in the Tintin stories. One spelled his name with a "p" and one without. Why am I discussing Hergé's creation on a Berwick thread?

What about Magic? He's been ditched by the Poles for sicknotegate. Maybe you could get him to ride on a British licence. Could be British Champion and ride for us in the SON! -

Hear, hear. It's great to win meetings and the league but we must never lose sight of the "Development" dimension of the third tier. If this level were to be lost, what other way do we see for our youngsters to progress through the ranks?

Grand Prix changes

How about 3 bonus points for winning a race, 2 for second and 1 for third? -
Max apparently. Has he definitely said he''s not riding here next season? It's a sad day if that's true.

(Some) Japanese Speedway on C4
False dawn replied to martinmauger's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Seemed to remember when Briggo went over there that it was reported that betting was a huge part of the sport. Riders, back then, were locked away in isolation for several days before meetings to avoid the possibility of race rigging. -
This was a great race and a good advert for the sport. I remember watching it live and being thoroughly impressed by all three racers. I turned to my friend after the race to share impressions when he said, "and don't forget, they're all still 15 years old". The future really is bright.

I think we should step back from some of the detail here and look at the bigger picture. We have a club with a long history returning to the top flight, on it's traditional race night, being lead by a former world champion. This is to be celebrated by all speedway fans. And we can only hope that many former Sheffield fans will see these developments as a good enough reason to come back into the fold. Well done Sheffield. I look forward to seeing you on track.

I think we know what fencing a rider means. We've all seen it done, sometimes more skillfully than at other times. But the end result is the same... "you ain't coming by and if you don't shut off, you'll end up in a big heap in the fence"

When you're "mathematically limbo dancing", every hundredth counts
-
Don't short change yourself, Kyle gets a 2.5% allowance does he not? That means you have 21.02 for the remaining 4 riders.

Anyone know what average he comes in on?
