Who cares... Lost interest last season and it has not really returned... we never missed meetings and was there week in week out rain or shine but from 2011 the product put in front of me has been sub standard... last season i think i made about 10 meetings and so far this season i have done 6 team meetings out of 13. I actually think we will struggle tonight Glasgow are dreadful but we do look worse on paper...
-
I was building the team last week at the test match, Below is very close points wise but may be a little expensive!! Simon Stead 9.33 Richard Lawson 8.29 Adam Roynon 7.81 Andre Compton 5.36 Kyle Newman 5.29 Facundo Albin 3.63 Damien Koppe 3.00 = 42.71 This may fit as points will adjust slightly before the end of the season so may only need fine tuning

So its now official Andre for Hall... Get in one happy bunny that the promotion have finally seen sense and got rid of Hall... Looking at the new averages i believe we now have 9.97 points to play with for a new number one... Doubling up riders are limited as a number of clubs are already at there maximum if 3.. A few who would fit are - Lewis Bridger, Patrick Hougghard, Lukas Dryml, Cameron Woodward ( Infact All Eastbourne team except Bjarne) I feel we need a number one who will gel and bond and hopefully add some experience to help the younger inexperienced riders with set ups etc..

Spin King, How would we get Andre at reserve ?? Im same dont particurly like Lewis Bridger but would be worth a gamble, I dont think we would have anything to lose for the last few meetings.. Just seen Sheffield have denied we have recalled Andre but are in talks
-
Maybe now a possibility as Andre is back !! The move has come about due to Sheffield wishing to recall Andre Compton to their side and thus ending the 28 day day short term contract we had with the rider following his return to the sport following an absence of over 2 seasons. We wish to thank Andre for his efforts during his short spell at the club and wish him well for the remainder of this season and the future – indeed he’ll be back at Ashfield racing against us in a month’s time! So Andre is in ... Who is out ?? Hopefully Richard Hall out and a new number 1 - Lewis Bridger fits??

I can't believe Jake is quitting.. Maybe he should take a leaf out Damien's book.. He has been practising here there and everywhere.. Yet jake appears to be doing less.. A young lad needs to prove himself in the NL.. Even Adam Roynon and Joe Haines have appeared in Nl as recent as last season I believe..

Wtf was that all about... I've retained my re-admission ticket because I'm sure the Sheffield promoters will give a £5 minimum reduction to a Sheffield home meeting as a goodwill gesture to apologise to the supporters for that shambolic effort or lack of !! If we were manipulating averages I would expect a number of team changes !! Surely someone will confirm why the team managers put in heat 15 a very slow off the pace Richard hall and not Ricky Wells or again was it average manipulation .. Looking forward to hearing the promoters spin on this latest disaster !!

It looks like Jakes rain dance has failed... Having missed out on speedway last night we going to venture over tonight, Hopefully we can keep this close as Scunthorpe are not riding to full potential so i see a opportunity to hopefully sneak a point.. If someone can update the weather later that would be appreciated as don't want a wasted 150 mile round trip Cheers

I really can't see why folks are making such a fuss over Andre.. Yes 9 years ago he was an exceptional rider and slowly declined until his retirement when his average was under 6 , he is now 36 and hasn't been riding for 3 years where as we have a very talented up and coming English rider who if he had 2 seasons injury free would be a 9 plus premier league rider and a 7 pt elite rider.. Lets move away from the ex riders and move on unless we could fit both in ??

Sheffield V Berwick (pl) 6th June
psycho3a replied to Shadders's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well i have tried to look at positives and worked out that having the 4 better riders together we will gain more heat advantages...But i have completed a programme on what i think heat scores will be and we lose 43-47 and thats being generous to us in a few heats, i tried working out individual scores and we lose again... Looking at last years teams Berwick are stronger, Sheffield are weaker and we lost at home in 2012.. Its not looking very promising... Still undecided whether to make the effort.. on paper it should be a good meeting as Berwick have a team of triers who ride sheffield well but again if i come and we get battered and look as poor as we have done it will probably end my season.. I hate having a poor team as love watching speedway but have to balance value for money to entertainment as its in excess of £30 to go that could be money put towards the 3 kids... Hmmm decisions decisions -

I wasn't there this evening but if its correct a supporter is criticised for stating our FOUR reserves are pants then I would be next for the public hanging !! I stated I won't be back until changes are made and its not looking like I will be parting with my hard earnt cash any time soon.. Our 4 reserves only beat the opposition 7 times from 16 rides.. What a slaughtering it would have been with Magnus in.. Odsalboy please continue to voice your opinion.. -

The fanzone the 1st year was really good and refreshing and broke the day up but last year was exactly the same as year 1 and looks like its planned exactly the same.. One of the biggest problems also is space .. You cannot get around to look at things as people are pushing about on a very narrow street.. Why can't it be in the castle grounds/park.. Loads of space no pushing and shoving and whilst the entertainment is in maybe sit and chill in the sun in the grass !! I fear though this will be same old same old so an hour in pub will have to be enforced -

There lies a problem, Sheffields 3 heat leaders were outscored by Ryes and that's our strength !! -
