  1. Absolutely. I've recently posted on the Sheffield thread, and just seen an article by Nicki Pedersen slamming the rules bought in in the Polish League which restricts riders in the Extraleague (Top Tier) to only compete in one other league. Riders in the 1st and 2nd Divsions (2nd and 3rd Tiers) can only ride in two other leagues. This will have a big effect on riders like Nicki Pedersen, Jason Doyle, Jaimon Lidsey, Jack Holder, Dan Bewley, Niels K Iversen, Robert Lambert, Rasmus Jensen etc who were planning to compete in our top division over here.... Watch this space as that one unfolds.
  2. Doyle and Lambert for sure. Iversen is likely to be in Division 1 in Poland where for some reason they are allowed into 3 leagues including the Polish League. Still no guarantees on him riding in Britain though when you add in Sweden and Denmark too. Jack Holder and Jaimon Lidsey are others it could also effect. Could also rule the likes of Dan Bewley out of Sweden or over here too.
  3. Not looking likely - Riders in the Polish Extraleague can only ride in one other league outside of Poland. I can't see Nicki Pedersen dropping the Swedish league or Danish League.
  4. I'd really hope so. Gary May obviously wasn't too happy with BWD and criticised him in the 'announcement' that he wasn't coming back over here this year after being dropped in it so late in the day. Hopefully that will be forgotten about and BWD will sign again.
  5. I would have expected them to completely distance themselves from him as he was due to be a Birmingham rider in 2020, and make it known they have now cut all ties personally. Saying nothing and sitting on the fence does no good for anybody personally. Just my opinion.
  6. And unbelievably Birmingham haven’t commented on it as far as I’m aware?
  7. He had been linked with Łódź, but a lot of team positions are still up in the air in Division 1 where 1 signing could trigger a whole host of signings. If Tungate stays at Łódź instead of going to Zielona Gora that could potentially spell the end for Lindback going there.
  8. Smektala has now officially confirmed his exit from Leszno as has been widely expected. He will be announced for Częstochowa within the next 2 weeks
  9. I think Toruń will be okay, especially at home. Won’t be near the top of the league but they will do okay. Looks worrying for Grudziadz with poor juniors again
  10. Jack Holder has responded to Lemo’s accusation of him turning down the SON team position and given his reasons for that. All on www.speedwaygp.com Get the feeling all isn’t well in the Australian camp!
  11. As was expected, Anders Thomsen confirmed for Gorzow for 2021 and 2022. Jakub Miskowiak officially confirmed for Częstochowa too.
  12. With the change in regulations out in Poland, I expect Luke Becker to land a position out there somewhere. He’s been linked with several clubs already. Assuming that British Speedway sticks with their plans of starting next season with the same line ups, if Becker gets a team position out there then I would expect Somerset to be lining up a replacement for him.
  13. Smektala would be one of the Poles and Jeppeson the U24 rider. He was in terrific form in Sweden and Poland this year, especially when he scored a 15 point maximum against Toruń. Whether he’s ready for mixing it with the big boys though is a completely different kettle of fish!
  14. Chris Harris on his way back to Rsezsow? I didn’t see that one coming at this stage of his career!
  15. Karol Zupinski to Toruń?? Ive updated post 3 on the first page with rumoured signings and the current signings that have been announced already.
  16. He’s got a 2 year contract, although because Rybnik has had a large chunk of it’s funding removed and the U24 rule he may be another that sees the exit door too!
  17. After a mass exit of riders at Rybnik already so far, Logachev is expected to see out the 2nd of his 2 year contract and potentially be joined by Holta and Jamrog
  18. So on November 1st once the transfer window opens, it’s been reported today that the following moves will take place.... Wadim Tarsenko Krosno to Bydgoszcz Mateusz Szczepaniak Rybnik to Krosno Andriej Lebedev is also rumoured to be going from Rybnik to Krosno whilst Zengota is expected to stay in Bydgoszcz
  19. Just to give an idea of the sheer scale of money on offer in Poland - Zmarzlik’s new contract is supposed to be the biggest ever in Polish history and potentially could be worth upto just under £600,000!
