  1. Sportowefakty.pl are carrying a report that implicates a member of the Polish team in a doping allegation. Quote (Google translation): Further our source, which contacted on Friday, confirmed that one of the Polish players were caught doping. What is, however, the most important voice in the matter in an interview with sport.tvp.pl took Michael Rynkowski from the Commission Against Doping in Sport. - At this stage we are not able to provide information about the personal data of the player. We can only confirm that such a case has occurred. This is the finding of stimulant inbodyspeedway rider. At the moment we are at the stage of determining the period of analysis of the B. After this result we can decide whether we are dealing with the use of doping or not - said MichaƂ Rynkowski in a conversation with sport.tvp.pl. - On the one hand you can count the cases that confirm the result of sample A. It is most likely that we will have to deal with anti-doping rule violation - added Rynkowski. According to our information, the test for the presence of prohibited substances was performed in said one player from league, which took place this year in Gorzow Wielkopolski . site link: http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/458930/w-zuzlu-szykuje-sie-kolejny-wielki-skandal-zuzlowiec-kadry-przylapany-na-dopingu
  2. I noticed that the Danish bookie was offering 11.00 on Ulrich in that last one. Way the outsider, despite gate 1 providing 4 winners from 6 until then. Wish I had a few kroner to bet with this lot! EDIT: The way it's going looks like heat 13 could go a way to deciding who leads at the end of this. Anyone know if there are any more rounds to come or is the champion the aggregate highest scorer over the two?
  3. Heat by heat at: http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/wydarzenie/27822
  4. The limitations of this format (5 rider teams, incl.one reserve) really show up when you lose a rider. They really need the equivalent of a 'number 8', but I guess he would rarely be used. Home side keep on fighting though.
  5. Seems to be an injury to his shin area doesn't it? Took a hell of a bash from the falling rider's foot-rest I think.
  6. Say what you like about the Danes............................but they don't rush do they?
  7. I thought that must be it, but Ward moved at the gate in heat 5 before it was brought back but just a re-run was given. (referee's discretion I guess).
  8. Can someone remind me how the 'yellow card' system works in Poland? I noticed that Darcy Ward got shown one after the heat one helmet-gate incident.
  9. How can a professional outfit prepare a gate position that produces only 6 points over 13 heats? Even these top riders couldn't cope with it. It's not as if it's on the racing line, which is the usual excuse when this happens. Poor.
  10. Yep, second error tonight from our old friend................
  11. Just stated raining again. Spectators running for cover! Track staff are marking out the track, though.
  12. Not what we like to see is it? Think I'll leave it at that and go over to the guest-fest at Lakeside on bet365. Night all.
  13. Landed much like Holder. Home team could be running out of riders at this rate.
  14. Bike seemed to lose power, he lost control and hit Bjarne's back wheel. EDIT: Off topic whilst we have break...................EL meeting at Lakeside going ahead tonight with 4 guests in the line-ups and R/R. Perhaps we should go to 5 rider teams too!
  15. Another lonnnnnngg night in Denmark.................... Well there are only five of them!
  16. I see Charlie has invested in new kevlars.......................he must have decided to continue the comeback.
  17. I've always felt that someone better qualified than myself should write a thesis on 'enjoying sporting events'. I know from long experience that when many watch a team event of any kind that they will always have different views on the enjoyment quotient of that match. I long ago came to the conclusion that often it depends on the current mood of the spectator as much as anything else. Yes, there are matches that are poor by all standards (Finnish GP anyone?),but often quality is much more of a subjective opinion. From my point of view this match is no worse than some Danish matches I have seen, but certainly not great. But then I have nothing much else to keep me occupied until the Aces match from Birmingham in 10 minutes, so....................
  18. Mixed. Some have been excellent, one or two froze so much that they were unwatchable.(If you pick up a stream that freezes it's probably the source rather than the stream). When it is good it's very good, even without a commentary (better some would say!. You can hear the track announcements so it's easy to pick up rider changes etc. With only one camera position you sometimes miss what is happening at the back in a strung out race, but after all it is free!!
  19. Well now we know. Nicki and Moldow. (Just looked at the location of the track on GoogleEarth. Wow, it really is isolated.....even for Denmark.)
  20. Hard to believe that OneSport will hold a round of the European Championships finals at this cosy grassy stadium. EDIT: Mind you enough GP's have been held at Vojens I suppose.......but we know why that happened.
  21. http://kanalsport.dk/livestream But not started as yet (17.10 UK.)
