However, after all the (personal) money that the directors have put into this venture over the last 7 years or so you cannot expect them not to try to recoup some of that ASAP.

Over 2000 on mine. Going down at rapid rate after last heat of first match. No doubt will rise again as Gorzow match starts.

Can't help feeling that the away team management beat themselves in this match with their complaints about the track. Just 4 points behind before the Janowski crash and then gave away 2 5-1's and a 4-2 after the complaints. Psychology was all wrong by the away team management. ( All IMHO of course).

Dangerous sport etc. etc., but are riders getting a bit too ready to moan these days? (Ducks out of way to avoid things being thrown this way)

Yep agree. Always have a soft spot for Torun as only venue I have attended as a spectator. Albeit the old stadium! (except for Bydgoscz in GP).

I think that this is one of the most dispiriting remarks I have seen on a speedway board for some time. I assume from her regular posts on here that Star Lady is what we would call a regular speedway fanatic, and yet despite supporting arguably the best team in the league, and this being only the second home match of a new season, she decides not to bother going. The fact that one of her reasons is that she thinks her team will win easily makes it all the more baffling to me. I do not mean any disrespect to Star Lady, and with the sport in such a poor financial state in the UK already we surely cannot afford to lose people like her, even for the odd few matches. If only promoters would read and take note of comments like hers they might realise that they really do need to do a hell of a lot more to put on an attractive night out.
