Oh sure! The Danish meetings are great, I love'em. And Slangerup are 'my' Danish side too after a visit to the track back in the day. ( I don't remember all those 'cabbages' in those days though)

Maybe just me (!) but it seems the graphics man isn't sure whether the numbers he puts up are points or finishing position. ??? What's the Danish for 'dodgy track'?

Like most of us, so glad to see Swedish speedway on Eurosport HD. BUT, like so many posters I have to say that the commentary provided was sub standard by any measure. Reason for this post though is to point out the irony of the fact that during a commercial break Eurosport were asking for people who had an interest in becoming a sports commentator to send in their details to the station, and (I think),enter a competition. So come on all you commentators out there...................contact Eurosport and show Jack and Sam how its done!

First time I've seen the 14/15 nominations done this season. No more telephone boxes then? Had to grin at the way they did it though................first sticking up the name of a rider that is to be replaced (ie. Gollob, Sayfutidinov) and then taking it down again to put in the sub.

Does seem to be a bit of fuss about nothing. But don't all US riders carry a number from when they first start riding? I have several autographed photos of the Morans that they always signed with their numbers as well as their names. Explains Greg's wish for the change anyway!

Anyone who has attended USA meetings will recognise the way that they are presented. Lots of noise, constant commentary from an over the top presenter and the usual US razzmatazz. Have to say I loved it ! Special mention to the commentator who could be seen taking the occasional sip from a flask, and even name-checked the person who had provided the Jack Daniels! Not sure that I could survive it every week at Kirky Lane but all promoters here might learn at least something from watching it.

Don't think we've heard the end of this one. Torun say they will appeal, and the way these things go over there I would bet that the fines will be reduced. Also the licence and bans on individuals. In some ways the 12 point deduction for next season might be the biggest problem for the team. This season Torun finished 3rd in the league with 29 points (pre play-offs) .Take 12 off that and it would have put them in serious relegation trouble. And next year there will be only 16 matches to catch up as opposed to 18 this year.

I suspect that our UK lot are bunny-rabbits compared to the Poles.

Oh so true, but I suspect that even those averages are down on previous Swedish seasons (not fully researched ) and their rider wages must be so much more than our lot pay. Hope I'm wrong.......don't want to see any speedway nation in trouble, but a lot of Swedish clubs have disappeared in recent seasons.

Being a media pro I suspect that Rob won't stoop to our level on principle.

If it was Swindon we might say ''one swallow doesn't make a summer". Or whatever the Swedes say........................
