24th August 2013 Gp Challenge @ Poole
lastword replied to Irk Deflector's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
As we all know forecasts are always subject to being wrong, but I find that Weather Undergound is pretty reliable in the main. Link for Poole: http://www.wunderground.com/q/zmw:00000.15.03862 -
Iversen 2,1,3....MBJensen 1,3,3,1....Laguta 3,3,2,2,......S.Jensen 0,2,1,1.......Toft 0,0,0. Pedersen 3,0,2........Davidsson 0,2,1,0........Klindt 2,2,3,3........R. Jensen 1,0,0,3.......Nielsen 1,1,2. That's what I've got anyway, bonus points not included!

Heat 7........... B,W,R,Y Klindt riding out of his skin tonight. 27-21 after heat 8, yes?

-
1 to 4 in heat 3 please!! Helmet colours only will do!
-
Click the LIVE link on the home page to get the stream. Not as good as the usual quality for me, but it's there!
-
Lots of Danish sky on the live link at the moment together with background Tannoy announcements. Sure I heard bikes warming up earlier though!
-
Just been on kanalsport.dk and although it doesn't appear in the listing, there is an announcement that the Esjberg match is LIVE at 18.30 local time. (See changing graphic top right of home page)

Don't want to start an argument (God forbid!), but whilst it's fast and furious and great for the home crowd, in truth there hasn't been much racing (ie passing) after the first half lap. Reminds me a bit of Kirky Lane last Monday (minus the 15000 fans and the metres of the track) when the Aces demolished the Bees by a similar margin. Great for the home crowd (and a relief from what we normally have to watch), but no real RACING as such. I am now ducking behind my PC and awaiting the responses!! EDIT: Ok except for heat 11

Thanks, Paul, for taking the trouble to dig that out. Much appreciated.
-
Yep, doing alright so far (many years of experience!!), but did miss the 'joker' ride (I hate that term!!). Otherwise all OK thanks for your concern!

Been on my calendar all week. Retirement has it's benefits. (Not BENEFITS you understand, just some good points!)
-
Thanks, didn't know that that crazy rule applied in Denmark. (They are usually so much more sensible over there!)
-
MJJ riding without helmet cover. Exclusion in UK?
-
At the next break perhaps someone could explain the A,B,C classes as applied to team selection in Denmark? Seemingly no A rider for the home team, yet it looks an easy night for them so far. Do Danish teams drop their A riders like the Poles when the season is effectively lost, to cut costs? I know it's a different scene in Denmark v. Poland, but I suppose even these small clubs need to watch their outlay?

Don't enjoy a meeting as much if I'm not filling in a prog. Just doesn't feel right, something missing. Even do it for the GP's on TV despite having the race by race on the laptop in front of me. Hey, whatever works! EDIT: See previous two posts!!

Despite my earlier reflections that's it for me tonight. If I was at the track it might be different, but I have a life here too. Thanks for your company and the updates.............
