  1. Here's what the Belle Vue boys thought about it all: https://www.facebook.com/bellevuespeedway/videos/vb.129552893785305/1675376072536305/?type=2&theater
  2. Never thought I would say this but I'm pretty pissed off about the whole scenario. Been supporting the Aces since 1954 (yes, really!) but now the sport is being ruined by all this petty squabbling about rules that you need a computer to understand (and then easily get it wrong). Seven riders versus seven. Where did it all go wrong? Yes I'll be there on Friday/Saturday/which day? to support the Aces..................but if I'm getting disillusioned about things how many fringe supporters are drifting away from the sport? Something needs to change.
  3. Not sure, but an article in the Speedway Star says that up until now 526 guests have been used over the three leagues so far. And that is just counting league matches.
  4. Is the second Extraliga match on the same link? Thanks for info. EDIT: Just found the info. Seems the answer is YES!
  5. Excellent summary. At 7.30 I wouldn't have given the match a chance of going ahead, but I must have forgotten that this track is different! Only work deemed necessary was a number of track staff with brushes (!). Started prompt at newly announced time of 8pm. and the boys from both teams gave it a good go. OK, not brilliant racing but riders got stuck in. And despite another heavy shower the track held up well and towards the end there was actually some passing! Just wonder if it had been a first team match if riders would have been so willing to ride. Hats off to the riders on show tonight from both teams. (Aside: Dan Bewley appeared towards the end a couple of seats from us and he sat there riding every race as if he were out there!)
  6. Hit the nail on the head. In truth some of us could see this one coming. You can't have a number 7 scoring zero, especially when using R/R, and your number 6 only gets three points. Meanwhile opposition's reserves total 12 between them. Bewley would have filled the gaps on current form and would perhaps have meant a tight Aces win. Add to that a bad day at the office for Bjerre at number one and Bingo! you lose. Some great racing for all that as Aces were missing the gate time and time again.
  7. Can confirm. видеотрансляции не будет Google translation: there will not be a video broadcast
  8. As far as entertainment is concerned the Colts meetings have been great this season. Need to keep an eye on the weather for this one though. Forecast is lots of rain Friday with most of it arriving late afternoon.
  9. There were plenty on the back straight. Got chatting to a few..............proper speedway fans too.
  10. Originally shown as Eurosport 2 UK, but as reported above it has disappeared from the SKY programme planner having been there yesterday. I have had same experience as Superstars (post above). As suggested best idea seems to be to turn on at 6pm and see what happens.
  11. OK got it! Thanks again. re stream I'm OK thanks...............
  12. Thanks for that. However watched the Ekstraliga highlights from yesterday and he was still fit enough to ride heat 14. This after winning his previous ride. Just where did the injury occur?
  13. Hi, Can someone tell me why Zengota is absent tonight? Genuine question. Cheers!
  14. Close match throughout. But the individual score chart says it all.................... In the body of the team,Tungate aside, not one of the Somerset team won more than one race. But scores at 6 and 7 made the difference between the teams. For the first time this season the Aces reserves were below par and got beat 13 points to 4. Early days yet but could the challenge of competing in three leagues be too much for Bewley and Smith? And not just them, but riders from other Premiership clubs who have team places across the divisions?
  15. Only Ipswich fixtures on a Friday (Aces race night) are Edinburgh away.
  16. So,it's one of the team of investors that threw their hat in the ring back in 2013. Perhaps another member of that group could also be involved? R.S.?
  17. Phil, you have been dropping heavy hints as to the new promotion in many posts on this forum and on the BV Army site, based on your ITK status presumably. And pretty much all your posts, even if lacking detailed information have been optimistic. Why are you now getting worried? What have you heard?
  18. Cheers for that. Have to admit I didn't think that Autogate were still an item at Belle Vue.
  19. If the conference follows the usual pattern then once the bars open tonight the facts will leak out a bit at a time. Let's hope that the fact it is being held at a place with a speedway museum isn't an omen.
  20. Most ROW riding like they just want to go home. See Greg got a dig in at Hans Nielsen in his interview after Hans had used NKI as a 'joker'. Said about the Poles: yeah and they have Marek Cieslak.
  21. Hey, Phil!! About time you changed your 'message' on your posts!! I'm sure you will be at Swindon on Monday........2015!!
  22. Emil made it clear when he pulled out of the GP's in 2014 that it was for financial reasons. Czestochowa owed him loads of zlotys at that time. Also he said that his sponsors were an issue in preventing him riding in the series. Unclear what he meant by that, but as the series is not shown on TV in Russia any Russian sponsorship would be hard to find. This won't be helped by the fact that he took out Polish citizenship. Of course at that time he was also troubled with many injuries. With reference to his ability, this is surely not in question. Anyone who watches him regularly in Poland and Sweden can see that he would be a welcome addition to the GP roster.
  23. Anyone who saw the Swindon riders walking the track before the meeting would have seen a young lad with them (5 or so years old? Swindon fans will probably know who he is). We smiled as he went to the gate positions and did the usual kicking and stamping to test each one himself. With all the accusations being bandied about who is at fault for the Robins defeat I'm surprised nobody has yet blamed him.
  24. Oh dear! must have been a long time since your last visit then. The 'Mexican' thing at KL died a death ages ago!!
