  1. If I remember correctly, Smolinski started at reserve one season and had a great year for Birmingham and made himself unemployable - who would touch him on an 8+ average. The same applies to FDRs
  2. This is a must win for Swindon and the Lions are there for the taking. I think 4 EL points will be heading Blunsdon way.
  3. I thought number 8 was for a new Johnny Foreigner on a 4 point average? Huckenbeck has been declared in the 1-5 and ridden here already so I fail to see how he can just slot into the number 8 position
  4. It's quite a significant difference though!! It guaranteed points - as you will see with Howarth this season
  5. But they didn't have protected heats and only riding against second strings which makes their points scoring easier - so it is something new!
  6. The rule was introduced years ago and can be found in every match programme ever printed! It's not new!
  7. There you go again! Just answer a perfectly reasonable question
  8. Why don't you answer the question? It seems when you know you are wrong you start reverting to abuse. He is trying to have a debate (although he will get a better response without name calling)
  9. But that's all they do now when an FTR reserve!! Doh!
  10. So has Shovvy received his lifetime ban from all tracks for his persistent rule breaking using periscope? If not - why not? The evidence is there!
  11. 17 (paid 19) points from the Poole reserves shows how much of an advantage they have over other teams. Still don't know how Poole managed to sign both! Just as well the rest of the team decided not to turn up
  12. Surely he should be looking to ride in the PL rather than the NL??
  13. Been a lovely afternoon - blue skies and a drying wind! Maybe a bit premature with the call off (with hindsight)
  14. Bored! Does this really need discussing again?
  15. How to make a story out of nothing. His tweet was @WolvesSpeedway don't you have a I phone in the club? It showed rain last 2 days! 3 hours wasted!
  16. Just got back from this one and the best thing about the day - the sun was shining. As for the speedway, it was pretty dull. The key thing about the Roobins team is team spirit - well they must have drunk that last night because they were all hungover! It looked like Morris and Tungate had the most because I don't think they turned up. The other downside was that given the whole stadium - I ended up sitting nearby to Shovvy - don't know how that happened but he was doing his periscope thing with a voice like a fog horn that really was irritating. So not a great day really. Poole were sharper from the gate throughout and on the face of it, it looks like Watty is potentially the weakest link in the team and he rode pretty well! For the Roobins, Morris and Tungate were dire, Jason did well, Sedgmen deserved more points, Josh improved as the meeting progressed. Poole cleaned up at reserve although Charles was good value and Nielsen didn't continue where he left off last season. It was only the first meeting for the Roobins but remember most f them have been riding in Australia so they should have been sharper. When the team spirit returns (or they sober up) they should do quite well but they have a long way to go to catch the Pirates who deserved their thumping win. Superb racing and passing - really? Most of the heats were won from the gate and what little passing there was was coming out of the second bend or the fourth bend - although not too much of it! It was very processional on the whole and that's why the gap was so big - because no one was really gating for Swindon,
  17. Looking forward to it - and hope Swindon can keep it close
  18. It seems BV have finally realised what everyone already knew - it's off!
